@waldoj Good point, and I’ve wondered that too. During the supposed border closure of the first year of the #COVID19 pandemic, it was fascinating to see the impact of restricted cross-border traffic and trade. There was a definite effect on some product availability here even with the government effort to keep trade (especially trucks) moving. We have become heavily reliant on the #USA with significant market integration. Whatever happens there economically affects us here.
The myth of San Francisco as a “liberal” city is overblown. If you study the history of SF you will see it is anything but. Periods of time have existed where currents of change and forward-thinking prevailed, but this city and its politics is moderate to conservative. #SanFrancisco
