Werte #VPN-Kenner, möchte zuhause gerne grundsätzlich mit eingeschaltetem VPN ins Internet. Einige nichtsmarte Geräte sollen auch per VPN ins Internet. Vorhandene #FritzBox 6690 (Kabelanschluss), so verstand ich, ist dafür nicht geeignet. Ich solle mir dafür ein #OpenWRT-Gerät besorgen.
Also Kabel-FritzBox vorne, dahinter das OpenWRT-Gerät anschließen und darüber dann ins Netz.
Ist das auch eure Empfehlung? Oder führt ein anderer Weg besser zum Ziel?
Gewünscht ist, dass ich bei meinem Provider (hide.me) jeweils den Einstiegsort selber aussuchen möchte.

Now that I'm planning my migration out of Mullvad VPN, the browser might not be worth it anymore. The "hide in the crowd" effect is not going to be as effective with a different VPN and thus different dns server (both fingerprintable). Sad that Mullvad disabled the port forwarding, I needed it 😔 .

If you are using Mullvad VPN and their port forwarding, then you may want to start looking elsewhere.
As of May 29th they are no longer supporting new port forwards, and as of July 1st 2023 they will not support any port forwarding.

Quite unbelievably, @mozilla is forcing its very on pop-ups promoting its #VPN services. I never would have expected this from #Firefox. I have several plug-ins to prevent this. Firefox overrode them all. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I am assuming I was targeted because I am a Relay subscriber. Is this the beginning of the end of all that #Mozilla stood for?
