A common misconception that circulates the online space is that one cannot load #vst and #clap plugins with the #flatpak version of #Bitwig. This is not true, and I haven't yet seen a "good" solution, albeit it is not difficult. So here you go:
1. Add the filesystem=host-os permission to the Bitwig Flatpak, e.g. via #Flatseal. Alternatively, just add the plugin folder, e.g. /usr/lib64/vst3.
2. Start Bitwig, and in Dashboard/Settings/Locations/Plugin Locations, browse for the host system, e.g. /run/host/lib64/vst3
3. Tada! 🎛️

I’ve been auditioning the McDSP SA3 for a couple weeks now — it’s a next gen Soothe killer except for ONE big flaw: it causes a LOT of Pro Tools crashes.
Then today Waves puts out “Silk Vocal” for FREE and I gotta say, it sounds clean AF and hasn’t crashed yet! Bonus: it feels like the Dynamics/Gate is an RVox clone! I’ll most likely be putting this at the front of every vocal chain moving forward.

Because I see a lot of people making polished #recordings at home, using #VST, #MIDI, their own instruments, I don’t know what else—and I’d like to be able to do that too. Where do I start? I like Virtuosity Drums, the open source contemporary jazz drum kit library by Versilian Studios (SFZ) and have also been using the free version of Vital a lot lately.
When I don't do games & build systems at home I work with audio plugins, and today we released a big update adding granular synthesis capabilities to our synth Phase Plant.
Really excited to see what people do with it!

When mixing my own music I tend to get used to the tone of the song I'm working on, even when it's completely out of whack.
For a while now I've been using Smooth Operator by Baby Audio to help me get a better overall tonal balance.

A short video for #ElectronicMusic & #electronica folks. I waited years to get a Casio VL-Tone, and when I did, earlier this year, this was the obvious first thing to do. The beat and melody are played on the VL-Tone (using the two blue buttons, to match the original #music video). Drums, etc. are #VST added as #Reaper tracks to the audio whilst editing in #DAW. "Da da da..."

Spacer is a modular reverb & delay audio effect and the plugin fits very well in my workflow.
