#Westminster Tower was looking pretty stunning in the #sunshine on Tuesday morning this week, as I got to #London for a great day discussing #CharteredSurveying #Apprenticeships with friends and peers from across the industry at the #RICS. The day included some very interesting insights from #IfATE about the strength of #Construction and #Surveying apprenticeships.
#Westminster is obsessed with centrally controlled infrastructure (for obvious reasons) #Starmer is much puppet of #Whitehall as #Sunak is of Hedge Funds.
The argument about #NationalGrid infrastructure ignores that if more homes were energy independent (solar panels, community wind turbines, energy efficient etc) there would not need to be as many pylons.
That however would also mean people didn’t have to spend their money funding profiteering energy companies.
Yes that helps, So - what Scottish politicians do you admire?
Unless you get more support within your own people north of the border, you waste energy despising those elected to westminster

Now got an utterly bizarre situation in which #Scottish #Labour MPs in #Westminster (and Labour in general) voted against a #ceasefire, while Scottish Labour #MSPs voted entirely for a ceasefire.
Does this make sense? Not at all. Does it show that Labour is a mess? Yes it does.

So the #Westminster party should NOT be the same party. It should be the #ScottishIndependence party and have exactly ONE policy – to achieve #ScottishIndependence.
