Ich habe gerade die Serie #Wilderness zu Ende geguckt. Die ersten Folgen haben mir wirklich gut gefallen, aber dann hat die Serie einen Bruch erlebt und wurde immer nerviger. Besonders das Ende fand ich überhaupt nicht passend, und sehr cringey. Man hätte so viel mehr aus der Idee machen können.

One thing I learned while stumbling around in the #BWCA that is surely evident to experienced backpackers but that might not be appreciated by new visitors: you really are on your own.

There are few signposts and trail markers. Electronics may not work. These trees and lakes all look alike!

Get turned around? Don't panic. Be mindful. It's probably going to be OK.

Read this book, plan ahead, but don't overthink. Go. If you like this kinda thing. #outdoors #wilderness

This is worth watching, especially if you ever step foot off pavement in the Northern Rockies.

"Dixie" is legit... She hiked the triple crown (AT, PCT, CDT), and many others.

She had some heart issues while backpacking the Sawtooth #wilderness recently and had to hit SOS on her inreach. The story is told as-is.

(and it certainly wasn't staged or exaggerated as we've suspected on a few previous Idaho Wilderness SOS videos)

A new #wilderness area in Nova Scotia's Guysborough County will protect 300 hectares of old-growth forest as well as a lake that has been identified by a mining company as a water source for a proposed gold mine.

The Archibald Lake Wilderness Area will encompass 684 hectares of forest, wetland and three lakes that feed into a tributary of the St. Marys River, one of #NovaScotia 's longest rivers.
