I spent today doing the last few improvements on the Maestro for whoever ends up being the new owner.
Fitted the better (though not perfect) dashboard, refurbished door bins and centre console, and even installed a cigar lighter which this car has gone 35 years without.

The answer to the outstanding #NameThatCar challenge... Well as a number of you #WeirdCarMastodon folks correctly identified it is a Honda S2000.
A car I think still looks very modern despite being out production for 14 years.
It's tricky handling in the wet means that a fair number have ended up in the great scrapyard in the sky. Possibly helping secure it's future classic status.

The one where a reviewer once suggested that Toyota had got so carried away they forgot to include a boot /trunk!
This slight rough looking one was being worked on at a local garage, so still in use.

@DazzlingDamo: So in the end, #oldtimer, #youngtimer and also #classiccars (IMHO an even more vague term) seem quite subjective. I see many pictures tagged #classiccars where I immediately would like to object.
Some more subjective characteristics:
Oldtimers: Chrome, especially the bumpers! Nice curves, too, more dark-ish colors.
Youngtimers: More box-ish bodies, more vivid colors, especially yellow.
Classic Cars: Nice and either seldom and expensive cars or very old mass-produced cars.
@DazzlingDamo: Regarding the difference between #oldtimer and #youngtimer: I think on the legal side in Germany and Switzerland it's mostly — besides condition — the age: Oldtimers start at the age of 30 years. Youngtimers at IIRC 20 or 25 years, e.g. for collectors license plates.
Those 30 years kinda worked for me when I was young.
But it no more works for me now. Now for me the same cars as back then are oldtimers (≤60s). And those I grew up with (70s/80s) are kinda youngtimers. [tbc.]

The answer to Friday's #NameThatCar challenge, somewhat delayed by Eurovision 🙄, is the intriguing #Toyota (#Sion in US) IQ a car that was perhaps a head of its time. Decent first year sales quickly fell, the Sion version in the US always struggled. The exotic version was the Aston Martin Cygnet, which was an IQ with AM badge and interior, only offered to existing customers. Here, the IQ is now a sought after used car. An IQ EV would be interesting!

So the answer to yesterdays #NameThatCar challenge was a Nissan Figaro an odd little thing, built on a Micra platform, about 20k were produced in 1991 (the only year of production). Only sold new in Japan, I can only assume the majority of them were later exported to the UK given how many are still on road here!

@NLK: Habe bereits eins: ein #CityEL aus den frühen 90ern, das ich nach seinem viel zu früh verstorbenen Vorbesitzer @Obri 😢 auf den Namen #ObriEL getauft habe.
Zumindest falls es zählt, dass es zwar ein Lenkrad und Dach hat und auch keinen Helm braucht, aber halt auch nur drei Räder hat und als Motorrad zugelassen ist.
