way fascinating: the only english-language book about the underground #czech band, the plastic people of the universe. they evolved from the primitives group, who staged happenings & covered #zappa, the fugs, velvet underground, & the dead (not sure which songs) in #prague circa 1969. the plastic people could only circulate their music through tape trading, often arrested, etc.. doesn't seem likely but hope jaroslav riedel's massive 2016 bio will be translated from czech. https://www.tomhull.com/ocston/guests/jy/jy-ppu.php

@theropologist @RickiTarr Best live music show ever hands down was Dweezle Zappa and the Zappa Plays Zappa concert in the McPherson Playhouse, Victoria, BC Canada late 2000s.
Favourite moment from a live show ever was during Santana's set (Clapton, Santana) at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, BC early-mid 70s. The SRO crowd sitting as band took us on a small spiritual-musical trip. The Caravanasarai tour. Beautiful.

Apparently Frank Zappa recorded and mixed a "Hot Rats 2" album that was shelved and mostly forgotten until it was found in the Zappa vault recently. Now called Funky Nothingness, it's due to be released in June. Personnel includes Aynsley Dunbar and Sugarcane Harris. Great googly moogly!
