I love being 30 minutes to downtown Napa it's really hard to beat. I love to go wine tasting and taking in the atmosphere of Napa Valley.

European decor bar in the historic restaurant & inn of Chalet Suzanne in Lake Wales, Florida. The historic landmark had a small air strip, orange grove and soup cannery that once made Moon Soup. Their Moon Soup was selected by NASA & the crew of Apollo 15 for their trip to the moon. Chalet Suzanne closed in 2014 after 83 years in business.

Been on my feet working all day. My hands/body ache, but it is what is required to provide food for us. Not a complaint. I like being connected to my nourishment. Fall color comes to Napa late in the year. The colors here start changing typically towards the end of October and seem to peak early in November.
The timing of this color change depends on the grape. Some vines just turn brown and die. Some have a reddish hue to them with maybe a touch of purple. It seems that the majority turn yellow as is the case in this capture. I had wanted to get a good photo of these large Banyon Tree that creates a beautiful arched canopy over the street located in Coral Gables. I had to wait a few minutes in parking lot for rain to stop. The beauty is that the rain wet road adds to the beauty of this shot which is one of my best sellers.

I'm sharing this photo I took of two black bears playing for #SilentSunday because that's what I was when I came across them while hiking...I kept perfectly silent and still as they wrestled like I wasn't even there. I'm still not sure if they even saw me. Eventually they curled up for a nap behind a bush.

Golden Light in the Valley
One of my favorite times of the year to drive around Napa Valley is during the fall season.
The grapes have been picked and the weather is cooling. The grape vines start shutting down, preparing them for the cold wet winter. As they do this the grape vines take on an amazing shade of yellow that just pops when the sun is hitting low in the sky.

Did a project last summer called 93 Days of Summer, which I'm going to repeat this year. One image per day for 93 days. This was last July, playing with my cheap telephoto at the beach. Love people watching. I gave it a soft blue tone during processing.
