Blue tits are not migratory but I associate them with winter because it is the time of the year when they come to my feeder for snacks.
I am a bit late but it's still Dec 1st somewhere, right?
Last year for #ArtAdventCalendar I posted foodie photos, fruit still lifes and such. This year I decided to challenge myself to a small collage study a day, so no finished works. You can find those on my website.
So..... expect a mess!

On mark-making: I'd been wanting to make some pattern stamps and was trying to find the right material. Then my wellington boots started to crack ... Turns out that rubber is perfect. And the other day a toilet cistern repair yielded an interesting washer which is now glued to the base of a Pringle's tube. ☺

For October this year we did a Simpsons Treehouse (Halloween special) themed piece EVERY day of the month. It was wild! And tough haha 😅 but so fun and worth it.
Sometimes it's cool for the brain to challenge yourself to something, see if you have the discipline to see it to completion. Doesn't always work, but amazing when it does!

Had a little of four metallic paints so I decided to mix them with some thinning medium and put it on black canvas, then used the heat gun to move it around. I think it looks alright.
Update. :D I actually like how it leaves some air if I leave the drafts as just lines. :D So I guess I will leave this one as it is and... just pick up the next paper for more glowy stuff~.

This is my latest WIP, which is just about done. ‘By the Light of the Silvery Moon’ See, I told you I had a ‘moon’ thing going on.

Used brushes at first, then went with the pallette knives to finish it off. Using acrylic paint in shades of green, yellow, dark red, and orange.

All #AI """art""" is #digital art, but NOT ALL DIGITAL ART is AI. Whether you're #painting with #acrylics or #oil on a physical canvas or using a grease pen in #photoshop or #blender, it still takes effort and #creativity to create something interesting and/or visually appealing (unless it's the majority of "modern/contemporary art," which I maintain is pretentious crap 😏). Also important: regulation against AI stealing other people's work without consent for their #AIGenerated vomit, and requirements to disclose when something was created either partially or completely with AI. (but since most of Congress is geriatric and can barely figure out how to use email, I don't have much hope)

Used modeling paste for the 1st time. Mixed the color with the paste to see how it would come out. This is a little 5x7 practice thing. I just used it all over just to see the effects. I'm not sure I used it properly. I know you can use it just white and then paint after. Anyway this is how it came our and it's not a masterpiece but it's kinda funky. Any helpful hints are always welcome. I might do this for therapy, but id like to learn. #Artist #art #Painting #acrylics

I've had this idea for a while now to print (on a gelplate) rock textures, cut them out and make these sort of zen rock cairn collages. But the paper that can hold multiple layers of paint is too thick for collage. So I scanned the prints instead and worked in Photoshop. 💻
Now I can't decide on a background. Which, if any, would you prefer? Pink, blue, white? Or should I use a different colour altogether? Or is it shite any which way? 😆

I loved this study quite much and mixed acrylics with watercolors to get intense blue colors of the mountains. And of course - Red Little Riding Hood should be sitting in the middle of the mountain. I hope that you like it!

Experimenting with acrylics. Since i visited Hiroshima earlier this year i can't get the image of hot, burning destruction out of my head. It's one thing reading about it, another being head-first confronted with it. Words like sombering and harrowing come to mind.

It's as finished as I can be bothered because I'm ready to move on. Paladin is elaborate, because it's paladins. Once I get back to my computer I will make it into a printable form (clean up the edges, add flavour text etc) and it will have a super lore centric description ... Fanfiction about fake food? The finished work will have its own thread. This thread is all WIP.

It should be completed by tomorrow. Paladin is quite a job class to start with, considering that snacks shouldn't be super complicated (most job classes would be like just a skewer or a pile of fruits), but the royal guards of Uldah are not quite like most job classes.
