Laut Website sollte das Paket stattdessen an den nächstgelegenen Service-Point geliefert werden, ca. drei Orte weiter. 1) haben die sch*** Öffnungszeiten und 2) sollte das erst ab Montag dort abholbar sein. Tolle Wurst, denn das wurde extra beim Originalhersteller geordert, damit es heute ankommt. Wenn wir das gewusst hätten, hätten wir das auch gleich bei #Amazon bestellen können, denn da funktionieren Lieferungen wenigstens sehr zuverlässig.

I ended up ordering both the #Hobonichi #Techo and the #Cousin journals so I could get a sense of their size and weight. Even out here in the jungles of #Mississippi, #Amazon had next-day delivery for these (which is very, very rare).

I love the portability of the #Techo, but worry the pages might prove too cramped. I'm going with it, though, for the rest of 2023. If I feel constrained, I'll switch to the Cousin for 2024.

I’m using the Prime Video app on iPhone, using Voiceover. Prime has a feature where you can add programmes to a Watch List, but the problem following recent updates is that I can no longer find my Watch List in order to access my favourite programmes quickly.
Does anyone know where the Watch List has been hidden?

“Individualism” does not mean what you think it does.

To put one’s self above society is to indulge (beef, cars, chronic fashion updating, chronic appliance updating, wasteful consumption, buying from #Amazon, paying with #AmEx, shipping with #FedEx, refueling SUVs at #Chevron, etc). This would most concretely be your right-wing #climate deniers who are mostly absent from this thread.

Taking #climateAction as an individual for the collective greater good is the complete 180° opposite of “individualism”.

Then you have the climate inaction advocates who are under the dillusional idea that they can do nothing but sit around & complain as they eat beef & burn fuel whilst finger-pointing as they wait to be forced to change with a bit of confidence that that’s a long way off. You could say it’s a form of individualism since they’re unwilling to compromise their own lifestyle for the greater good for the foreseeable future, and they are willing to contribute to the toll of damage up until the moment comes that their arm is twisted (if they live long enough to see the day).

But from the context of what you wrote, you’re accusing the group that is furthest away from individualism of individualism. It’s the pot calling the kettle black (when the kettle is actually white).

in 2016 I paid $94.95 USD on #Amazon for a #CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD #UPS, now the same unit costs $185, that's almost double the price! It's successor is $175. Has #inflation really increased that much?

It's remarkable how much of my soul has been obliterated[1] in the past week programming for Amazon's Alexa platform:

* Crappy documentation
* Poor debugging feedback
* Non-deterministic behavior when things are "working"

Rather than writing useful business logic, I'm stuck in the code-equivalent of poking a gelatinous blob to see how it will react it I poke it some place or other.
