On iOS, I use Toot! as my preferred app for Mastodon.
What I miss, however, is the function of being able to swipe to the right from a lower level to get to the level above.
It's too much of a hassle to always click on "<Home" at the top left, as the spot is hard to reach with my thumb.
Is this possible, but have I just not found the function - or is this still being implemented?

Sie machen sich und uns von Google und Apple (oder Amazon und Huawei und anderen App-Shop-Betreibern abhängig) und verpflichten uns zum Kauf neuer Geräte.

Wer eine #Solaranlage in Betrieb hat, ganz egal ob ein kleines #Balkonkraftwerk oder eine richtige #PV-Installation, hat ein Ziel: Möglichst viel des selbst erzeugten Stroms selbst verbrauchen. Genau dabei will #CleverPV helfen. Nachdem man bisher nur im #Web unterwegs war, dort aber eine ziemlich brauchbare responsive Seite anbieten konnte, arbeitet man nun an der Veröffentlichung einer eigenen #App.

Okay, was will der Schwabe auch in Hamburg, also #HVV ging mit meinem Smartphone nicht, in Stuttgart haben wir die #SSB. Welche #App nehme ich nun? SSB #Move, SSB #Mobil oder SSB #Polygon? Ich nehme Move.

#Datensparsamkeit? Kompletter Name, Adresse, inkl. Geburtsdatum. E-Mail sowieso. Die Registrierung klappt.

Dann: Das Digitale Ticket gibt es für mich erst ab 1. Juli. Sofort kann ich ein Ticket zum #Ausdrucken bekommen.

Für Abo-Sofort, also ab 24. Mai, also noch 8 Tage, kostet das Ticket beim #SSB nicht 49€ sondern 62,70€. Oder ist da der Juni mit drin? Das ist nicht explizit erwähnt, aber ableitbar.

Da ich automatisch eine #PolyGoCard bekomme, die ich nicht brauche, muss ich außerdem ein #Foto von mir hochladen.

Da das Registrieren eines #Kundenkonto bei der #DeutscheBahn immer noch Fehler 503 macht, versuche ich dasselbe mit meinem Smartphone in der #dbNavigator App.

Die dann mich in einen #Browser weiterleitet. Die meisten Apps sind ja auch mehr oder weniger Browser mit speziellen Knöpfen, aber nun gut, also Browser pur.

Hier kommt kein Fehler 503 mehr. Aber wenn ich auf „Registrieren“ klicke komme ich ohne Erklärung wieder zu der Seite, auf der ich meine E-Mail-Adresse und mein Passwort angeben muss, drunter der Registrieren-Button. Das passiert auf dem PC auch in #Brave, in #Firefox kommt 503.

Der #Kundenservice der Bahn ist informiert und antwortet automatisiert, es könne länger dauern.

Da ich das Ticket morgen brauche, kann ich mir jetzt überlegen, welcher #Verkehrsverbund eine #App hat, die auf einem uralten #Android läuft und kurzfristig den Kauf ermöglicht.

Ich folge dem Hinweis, das Ticket beim HVV kaufen zu können. In meinem Vintage-Smartphone finde ich die #hvv #App im #PlayStore.

(Ich stelle mir vor, wie meine Mutter mit 79 Jahren das machen würde, sie hat gerade eine Augen-OP hinter sich und sieht daher nur auf einem Auge richtig… und wische den Gedanken weg.)

Die HVV-App preist mir sogleich das Deutschlandticket an. Ich klicke und lande wieder im #PlayStore, denn ich brauche die #HVVSwitch App für das Deutschlandticket.

„Dein Gerät ist mit dieser Version nicht kompatibel.“

Okay, also neues #Smartphone kaufen? Ich brauche das Ticket aber morgen. Außerdem möchte ich das alte Smartphone, das ich ja ausschließlich wegen des #Smartphonezwang von #Packstation und Deutschlandticket nutze, nicht wegwerfen und nur allein dafür ein neues kaufen.

Tinc el mòbil configurat només en català. Si en la app toco a "Tria un altre servidor" i després a "Següent" per a que em triï per mi un servidor en #català, mai tria cap dels tres servidors catalans que surten llistats a https://joinmastodon.org/servers.
I això que en la part inferior de la segona pantalla diu "Escollirem un servidor basat en la teva llengua si continues sense
res seleccionat."

Regarding #Apps that support #Calckey, there is a lot going on at the moment. (Calckey is still a relatively young #service in the #Fediverse #Network.) E.g. #Fedilab (for #Android phones) is working on an #Integration of #Misskey & #Calckey into their #App (supports #Mastodon & #Peertube so far, and is imho one of the best, if not the best #Fediverse #App). But they have also already announced that it will take some time to develop. Even though it might be a bit hard for you right now: Please be a bit patient and give #Calckey a chance. It is imho a much more powerful #Fediverse #Service with a lot more #Features than #Mastodon.

If you update to iOS 16.4 and "add to home screen", that version (called a PWA) will have full notifications and background/offline support!

For those with the PWA already added, you may need to go into Settings> Notifications> and enable push notifications.
