RoutineFlow is one of my favourite daily apps. It helps you to focus on tasks that repeat every day. Like the things you do after waking up, before going to sleep (I have those two routines always the same).
Although I don't have a diagnosed Attention Deficit Disorder, I have a thing called “time blindness”. It causes inability to recognize when time has passed or to estimate how long something will take.
The main issue in the work mornings are for me: Waking up in time, getting everything done in time, leaving to work in time. I'm not a morning person so I usually feel foggy and dull no matter how well I slept. RoutineFlow is a great help, because it gets me going.
The best things in RoutineFlow:
- It forces you to focus on certain times and tasks
- It shows in real time when the tasks will be done, even if they take more time than expected
- You actually get shit done instead of browsing your phone
When you do this for a while, you'll get a summary of how long a certain task takes in average and then you can adjust the time to be even more optimal.

Edit: I've had problems getting this to work for longer distances. I'm going to try the app AndroidRun.
I figured out how to measure how far I've travelled using OsmAnd+. See image of a brief walking test.
This is using offline maps (I have no data on my phone), so I'm not being tracked by some shitty entity like Google.
The secret to achieve this is to enable Trip Recording within the settings of the app.
This one's kinda silly, but it's such a fun game. Implosion: Never Lose Hope is working again!
Implosion is one of the best action titles on Android, but every major OS update seems to break the game. The devs only update it every other year now. We JUST got a patch that fixes Android 11-13 compatibility!
Hopefully this means the game will work on Android 14 too, but at least for now we can play it again! It really is a gem of an adventure game, so jump on it now. It's running like BUTTAH on my OnePlus 11 👍

Just got my first two Watch Duty app alarms of the year for wildfires in my county. Only 2 acres or so, and about 16 miles away — over the hill (inland) from me, not on the coast where I am. Still thankful for the notice.

I've been using @kdenlive to edit all my videos for IGOW, and wow, has that app gotten good lately. Granted, I am only doing short videos with fairly simple editing, but Kdenlive handles everything like a champ. And if I wanted to do more advanced stuff like color grading or more advanced transitions, those options are there.
Using Kdenlive has been a joy over the last few weeks - not something I'd say about most video editors!

I was tempted because I was thinking about all the different fun ways Storygraph tracks your reading. But then I thought of the fact that my data would then probably be sold off to who knows where and for who knows what purpose.
So I'm going to stick to tracking my reading in my notebook which is what I was already doing. 😅📚📓
The concept of not using [some app/service here] ONLY because it's centralized is a strange concept for me. And I say this as a huge open source guy.
I'm in between worlds. I use a lot of FOSS and FLOSS apps and services, but still many good ones are paid and proprietary. You should always own your data if possible, but not everything is perfect in this world. And will not ever be.

Surprisingly many
- do not use ANY task management and store things in their brain (that's crazy from my perspective)
- do not use any kind of mobile task management
- use pen an paper (see two previous)
- use some hacky terminal/code based task management methods (again, no mobile or cross platform)
- do not use any time blocking methods (seeing tasks in calendars with estimated times to complete)

Has anyone who has used Obsidian for a while tried Joplin? Is it worth checking out? How do they compare?
Does anyone else use T-Mobile (ugh, I only switched to them from Verizon years ago because they were more affordable, and now their rates are sky high too) and try to arrange payments for your bill, but then the payments don't stick when you set them? It's happened to me SEVERAL times now. And then they shut off your service and expect you to pay a late fee, if you're not paying attention. I call and get that crap reversed. They're the ONLY company I've ever had this problem with, and I'm starting to suspect that it's the fault of their garbage app, which of course they suggest you use.
My #favourite #app feature of all time you ask? #FlightTracker24’s #AR mode - you know - the one that lets you point your #phone at any #plane in the sky overhead and pull up the departure and destination for that flight. It’s a #rare glimpse into the lives of other people and the comings and goings of the big birds of the #sky.

I love Drafts.app, but I wish the design could be completely rethought and simplified, along with the multifarious settings options. Even after using it for a decade or more, I still don't immediately know what all the button icons mean on #Mac and there's so many that it stresses me out just looking at them. I can't decide if it’s better or worse on #iOS where you have to poke around to get to all of them. I like #apps.
Watch Duty kept me super well-informed about #wildfires in California last year. Now it's expanding its coverage — not just to Oregon as I first heard, but throughout the western US.

@aurynn @amd @MonaApp I have been using #IceCubs on my #Mac (as well as iPhone and iPad) and it runs great. I have also been testing #Mona, and while I like some of its features, it does not seem as stable an app and includes an overwhelming array of customizations. Perhaps that is a factor? I also note that the official Mona app on iPad currently blocks any response to posts as all the icons (e.g. favourite, reboot) are greyed out. #Mastodon #apps
