Might be worth a shot here:
Artists, you know a US copyright/IP lawyer, or resources for indie artists needing help in that area?
In short, I'm trying to see what I can do to avoid folks trying to make money off the Protect Trans Youth possums I designed, when profits from merch featuring the design are supposed to go to support a trans youth org in the area. :') I know that's just kinda how it is when you are a small artist online but y'know.
