The Goodman collection was pieced together by Goodman’s friend Bruce Blowitz, who purchased directly from #artists during his travels in the 1990s to #Vietnam, not long after Vietnam first opened to international markets in a reform called “đổi mới.” Before then, state #censorship of artists forced many to sell and display their works privately.

Does anyone have any experience putting on an art show? My Zonta club is looking into (I am the committee chair) putting on an art show during domestic violence awareness month. We would be selling local art work and part of the proceeds would go to our local domestic violence shelter. Anything I should be keeping in mind? Any advice would be great. Our first meeting is after the holidays, but I would like to come to the table with as much info as possible.

Growing up in the #NorthernBC community of #FortStJames, Erin Stagg was surrounded by #Carrier #culture & #learned all about it. At the same time, she found out very little about her own heritage.
