With the tentative agreement for the WGA coming out today, along with some conversations I had yesterday that were very Libran in nature, the day after the Sun moved into Libra, I feel like this is gonna be a month where a lot of unresolved disputes are going to end up being resolved. It was a long, hot summer & labor definitely made their voice heard. What sorts of substantive gains are they going to make? I will venture to guess that we'll find out a *lot* this month.

Libra is about negotiation, justice, and balancing. The scales are a representation of Libra.

The house that you have in Libra represents the place where you will personally try and find balance in your life this month. It's a cardinal sign, and so it will *initiate* a conversation, a thought that has possibly been rolling around in your head for a while, & it will push you to weigh all the pros & cons, all the perspectives of the people that will be involved, to find a fair & just way to move forward. This is also a theme that will continue for a while, as this is also eclipse season. This is going to be a major theme for the next chapter of your life, being until April of next year.

It's time for Libra ♎ season! The Sun has just moved into Libra from Virgo which is also the start of Fall. The crisp mornings, the new initiation of Fall aesthetic, etc. When the Sun moves into Libra, it balances the days. Our days and nights are almost equal, which helps us focus on balancing our own lives. Where do you feel that your life is out of balance?

Libra season is a social time of the year, leaning toward partnership-type interactions. Being personable in one-to-one interactions is something Libra is really good at.

Justice is another keyword of Libra, expect justice to be a topic of discussion, and movement to be made. Is there an ongoing dispute in your life that might be settled? Libra loves compromise.

Fall brings a time to change your aesthetic, and dress up in a different way - you might have been thinking about it, but now's the time to bring out those Fall clothes and dress up. Show off! Libra is ruled by Venus.

Enjoy your Libra season babes! 😘

I am working on converting/translating my current website from #WordPress into #markdown for #Astro so I can publish the new site instead of the old one. The process is taking me down memory lane for sure!

But I can honestly say that using #Astro feels so much better than using a web interface with a WYSIWYG editor. Markdown is more simplistic, I agree, but it still just suits me so much better.

When Pluto (rules the underworld) and Saturn (rules boundaries and structure, malefic in nature) conjunct (occupy the same exact space), this has been a trend where there is usually a pandemic. Last few times:

January 2020 - COVID pandemic, also had Jupiter in the same sign, expanding the impact
November 1982 - AIDS pandemic
August 1947 - Outbreak of influenza in NYC, resulting in a epidemic
May 1915 - Outbreaks of influenza, the precursor to the pandemic of 1918, dubbed the "Spanish Flu"

Important to note that the month they conjunct is when the merging energies are at the highest concentration. So the energy will wax and wane the closer they are to each other. They can also conjunct up to 3 times, if Saturn retrogrades and goes backwards past Pluto, then back forward. The energies will be merged the entire time they're in the same sign, which usually lasts around 3 years.

The concept of detriments & fall in astrology are so interesting to me. It's the idea that some of our placements are in signs where the energy of the sign is in some way oppositional to the energy & needs of the planet. If you have any of these placements, you have a detriment:

Sun - Aquarius ♒, Libra ♎
Moon - Capricorn ♑, Scorpio ♏
Mercury - Pisces ♓, Sagittarius ♐, Leo ♌
Venus - Scorpio ♏, Aries ♈, Virgo ♍
Mars - Libra ♎, Taurus ♉, Cancer ♋
Jupiter - Gemini ♊, Virgo ♍, Capricorn ♑
Saturn - Cancer ♋, Leo ♌, Aries ♈

With any of these placements, people usually need to pay more attention to that dimension of their life in order to feel fulfilled. But what I find is the beautiful part of detriments is that they are the outcasts. They are the outsiders of the dominant social group, & therefore go about that part of their life in a much different way, questioning norms in the process. What I've noticed with people that have these placements, is that they question that part of their life much more.

For example, if someone has Venus in detriment, they will usually question the social rules that encompass dating & expressing affection, doing it much differently from what's considered "normal".

This unfortunately also doesn't come without a significant amount of pain & isolation as a result of being different from the perceived normal, so they might have a fragmented sense of self in the process.

Article published by @TheConversationUS summarizes:
NASA finds no evidence that #UFOs (or: UAPs, unidentified anomalous phenomena) observed by military pilots are #extraterrestrial.

"The authors note the importance of reducing the stigma that can cause both military and commercial pilots to feel that they cannot freely report sightings. The stigma stems from decades of conspiracy theories tied to UFOs."

#react and #nextjs may have a chokehold on web development now, but I am hopeful that a new generation of #webdev folks are realizing that you can go very far on ‘vanilla’ JS — modern JS — and that things like #svelte , #astro , etc show how you can have fast clean performant code without having to jump though React’s hoops.

With the new school year in full swing, this seems like an appropriate image to share. This old one-room school house stands in Harrison, Maine. I'm unable to find much history on it, but I do know it's been used both as a schoolhouse and a church, dating back to the mid 19th century.
