Interesting way to create a transducer for a speaker. First create a diaphragm with a rubber membrane (an electric insulator), covering the rubber membrane in conductive grease to make an electrode. I’m looking for an open-source tool to write loop points into #WAV files, for #looping a section of the audio contained in the file.
By now I know that these are stored as #RIFF `smpl` chunks (see https://www.recordingblogs.com/wiki/sample-chunk-of-a-wave-file for the binary structure), and I could generate the binary data myself, but I need a tool to write the chunk into an existing file. #CLI preferred, or a #Python library.

In my live I did audio-recording on AmigaOS, Windows 98, Linux Ubuntu, Mint and Manjaro and I've got the feeling I've finally found the OS that fits my audio-needs. AVLinux is based upon #MXLinux (which is based upon #Debian) and comes with pre-installed multimedia programms, like #Ardour, #Reaper, #KDEnlive, #Cinelerra, #Musescore, #Hydrogen, #Blender and many others. Does anyone know a good audio converting program for MacOS that can convert to Opus file format?
I am changing out the soundcloud embeds on my website for self hosted files and want to make them Opus so they are optimized for streaming.
The only sollution (with correct good quality results) I have managed to find is to compile FFMPEG from source. Which is juuust about the level where I tune out, hehe!
Happy to use gui or terminal if I don't have to compile it myself.

At 5.30 this morning, a wren was singing outside my window, so I fetched my sound recorder because I need background audio for some future relaxation podcasts.

Dear internet friends,
I have a question for audio workers using macOS: Anybody using Ventura and iZotope reverbs? I wanna upgrade, but I’ve been using Stratus 3D and Symphony 3D on a lot of mixes (for Atmos beds) and those are still not qualified for Ventura.
