If you are #skeptical that these sorts of large-scale, centrally-planned #interventions can solve social problems that have existed in #human #societies for hundreds or thousands of years, then you fall towards the bottom end of the #rationalism axis.
If you think about your #beliefs in these two areas, you might find yourself #surprised at where you fit on the chart, and what other belief systems fall near you. It's a lot more #insightful than the #meaningless left-right single axis.

My wife is away in Georgia, so I leave the bedroom door open when I sleep. Ben comes in and slips under the bed for the night, and Charlie ... well ... I'm not completely certain where Charlie sleeps but he spends time in the Foyer, some time in a chair, etc. But he usually wakes me at about 06:00 AM. This morning he didn't though, I woke at about 06:45. Charlie was right there at the side of the bed. He had been patiently waiting for me to get up.
In morning, I sit here for a while wondering what to write. Sometimes it comes to me right away and other times I struggle with thought. Part of the struggle is avoiding politics and religion. My blog is about birds and photography, but in the morning, I like to muse over coffee. The quote this morning is about belief.

Is it justifiable to call what we think we know #knowledge? That's important for religion and also for anything else we hold to be true.
Unless one learns #philosophy, one may be unaware of the hidden assumptions that we all have when it comes to learning.
If we desire for our #beliefs to be firmly grounded then we must think about what these hidden assumptions are. We must state them explicitly. In doing so, we analyze the way that we think.

Are our religious #beliefs justifiable? In other words, which of our faith claims are #ontological claims? Which are subjective claims?
We must ask because we usually have faith that our beliefs are true, yet faith is not synonymous with #knowledge.
And now an even deeper question: How can anyone know that any of our claims about beliefs or knowledge are true? We feel like we have knowledge ("I know that such-and-such is true") but how did we come to know this?
