Lots of things to consider adding to the collection next month! Would love to get more #Anime figures and some figures from #FateGrandOrder but looking at Starship Models again and would love to get some from #BattlestarGalactica #StarTrek and #StargateAtlantis
Lots to choose from.
Finished with things for the month and now I can relax and get to watching #StarTrek
Just a few things planned for next month but October should be an easy one.
Got the Megaranger DX Digitizer in and now have everything that was ordered in at last!
The #PowerRangers Astro Morpher is one of my top fav Morphers! So happy to have one in hand at last!
¿A qué hora soléis leer #blogs los mastodontes de la pradera? ¿Por la mañana en el transporte, en el descanso del trabajo o los estudios, por la noche mirando la tv? ¿O es vuestra lectura antes de ir a la cama? #mastoblogs #mastobooks #mastolibros
1999- guha gave #rss specs =09 was latest release
2006 - rise of #blog aggregators with #google feedspot (or something) and with #orkut , #blogspot was to new hub of a very raw community of writers , majority of whom ll never finish their single novel , and personal expression became a new literary form , content creators with influence was becoming a thing for a number of households. With their own communities of naive readers ( with different biases) and experimental broken language of #msn rooms (or sth) became a public expression, which was taking over the general influence of the serious literature with lit elite following which dominated the majority expression tapped in closed rooms , which had no public media of expression or voice. Since then anti elite wave has been a major theme of #art amd discourses in #economy to the point of becoming a serious political force , which ks hard tl ignore by now. Cornered elite continues to push back with the abuse of #privacy , which is primarily what drove this "innovation" and big money . As bubble of enterprise #it #web burst in 1999 and it needed a new consumer\ user base to feed on. Now #infosec is a buzzword. I got serious about it when it became a medium of serious open academic lit with the advent of #quora 2011 or so . As i was never a coding \workforce \academic elite , which in india was a social capital and mainstream #news was useless and has been so .
another Serious element of this free body diagram was a fall in credibility of appearance, with the same phenomena being repeated in #drama with the advent of #facebook and #blogs , while those for web development were still useless. But #code was slowly replacing this as a new expression for the credibility of semi-literate #labor [ and] #girhub v #learntocode tapped on it
: on the margins <\b>
it was also when I was reconsidering my focus on spending Another 4 years at a college which was not #iit ( i got there eventually) to pursue a marginal place kf disadvantage in mainstream #socialnetwork for #job , after having spent 2 years in preparation to get here. As ia completely marginalised industry which was isolated from traditional or mainstream workforce , yet influential in local economy was #coaching , where the worker was not marginalised or socio-economically abused. On the contrary , they were revered . Although it had shades of its own ( maybe more on it , but some other time , #nix is calling)#intro post 2: all i can say atm is that your game theory is hugely affected by how you view your socioeconomic convictions relative to system , of game is not working one of the two need be intensively reasoned and if you ve not allocated sufficient resources for it, you can just forget about adapting reasonably , you can either submit or let go of either
Back when the blogosphere was in its prime, people would throw Atrios shade about not adding enough content, just being an aggregator.
That's not how I think of him. Most of the blogosphere tried to model itself after traditional journalism. They saw themselves as future op ed writers and Sunday panelists. (Often to hilarious/horrible results.) Atrios was just the guy you talk politics to over your fence or at the bar. He wasn't deep, he wasn't measured, he was cathartic.
The Dino Megazord is always going to be my favorite Megazord!
“Life is like a recycling center,“ Anne Lamott explains, “where all the concerns and dramas of humankind get recycled back and forth across the universe.” Nothing will ever be what it was. Nothing will ever be the same, but you can make something different. You can become something changed. We can choose how to use the space.
Another Mobile Suit Added to the collection today and I'll probably be getting the Stargate figures I'm getting in trade from my friend tomorrow!
Gotta get a Technodrome soon.

"Foreign tourists are going to feel the difference and from what I read in #blogs travelers are basically saying: Don't travel to China unless you have a very good reason."
Got another figure in today and a huge tote of TMNT figures from my Brother, also will be getting #StargateSG1 and SGA Figures from my good friend I trade with before the end of the month!
Also have a White Ranger Tiger Zord coming!
So much coming in.
Expecting a nice big box next week from Amazon and I'm satisfied with this month's pickups.
I’ve decided to add blog content to my morning read. That said, I am actively looking for RSS-compatible #blogs with content related to #boating, personal (not cruise ship) #cruising, and the #GreatLoop. I prefer reading about #powerboat and #narrowboat travels instead of sailing travels. (I am admittedly too lazy to sail.) If you blog about your travels on the water, send me a link to your blog.
»#ActivityPub for #WordPress has been released allowing WordPress #blogs to be followed by apps like #Mastodon in the #fediverse and then receive replies back as comments on their own sites.« https://techcrunch.com/2023/09/14/wordpress-blogs-can-now-be-followed-in-the-fediverse-including-mastodon/?eicker.news #tech #media
Do you know that one of the most awesome things about the Fediverse is that you can now follow entire Wordpress blogs and websites on it? (providing they're using the ActivityPub plugin).
Here is mine: @email@example.com
New blog posts show up in your timeline just like any new post from any other fediverse account. It's like magic. Try it, especially if you have a Wordpress blog or site.

I need to watch G-Gundam again.
Writing from a point of experience has always been strong for me. Honesty makes for the best creativity, whether it's songwriting, blogs, or stories.
Anyway, I have the itch again. To start writing. I'm looking for a couple things, first if there's any interest from my followers on fediverse, but also to connect with other #bloggers and #writers. I am working on a blog entry now, I can share the link when I'm finished if there's interest. #blogs #nsfwblogging #writersofmastodon
Wordpress block editor sucks ass. Random mixing of content (copy/paste different content, yet it merges it stupidly), putting barriers in way of user (just try to move between blocks) etc. Gutenberg would be sad they named this nuisance after him.
Back to Classic editor.
Some downtime at work meant I got to write a blog post. What did I write about? Blogs, of course! Specifically how I built the AWH blog with Umbraco: https://moscardino.net/2023/08/building-a-blog-with-umbraco/
Research has continued and I think that #WriteFreely, despite being a great piece of software, isn't really accurate for my needs and is a bit too restrictive.
#Hugo might be more what I need, so I'll look at upgrading to that at some point. I just need to work out how to self host it!
There are some things about WordPress' internal dashboard that I just don't like. The menu on the left has all this extra crap, things are tough to find within menus, the layout is just kinda overall crappy. Wish they'd overhaul it a bit. I just wish the menu was customizable for everyone using it. I mean, how tough could that be?
Also, some of the confusion going back and forth from legacy widgets, etc has been a total pain, too. And a lot of navigating around the WordPress dashboard UI is just NOT intuitive. The weird 'write' button at the top - does anyone even use that?
Going through Samsung Notes to ensure I transfer the correct weird bits and blurbs of ideas I've frantically typed throughout the last months/years for potential development into WordPress posts via the excellent Jetpack app for Android.
(I know I *could* write these blurbs directly in Jetpack, but the thing is, not all my notes would necessarily be turned into blog posts, as some are just random notes to myself).
Anyway, the reason for my semi-obsessive note taking is a creativity-related concept I've been grappling with for 30 years now.
Throughout the years, I've found that no matter HOW great and memorable your idea is, you will NOT remember it later. There are exactly two paths. You need to 1) write it down AS SOON AS YOU THINK OF IT, so you can remember it and enjoy it or scrap it later, or, 2) get used to a 'zen' kind of acceptance thing for ideas, to just let them go when you can't remember them later.
The price of remembering an idea is writing it down immediately, wherever you are. Somewhere you can find it.
Or maybe your thing is voice notes, if you remember to check them. I don't like voice stuff. I'm old. I write! 🤣
I've always been a proponent of information decentralization. I've had a longstanding appreciation for #blogs and their corresponding #RSS feeds. When #Google Reader shut down, I decided to take on the task of #selfhosting my own feed aggregator.
Initially, I used #TinyTinyRSS, then I transitioned to using #FreshRSS and #Miniflux.
Currently, I manage an installation of FreshRSS with around 300 active users, but it's not linked to BSD Cafe.
Now, I'm looking to set up a dedicated feed aggregator specifically for BSD Cafe users. However, I'm torn between options. FreshRSS is a classic choice with a solid track record. On the other hand, Miniflux is modern, highly functional, offers great mobile accessibility, and is built on Go.
I'd love your input on which one to install.
Let's hear your thoughts (also on comments)! 🤔
Hit me up with your favorite short story #writers, fiction writers, horror-in-sentence writers.
What about people writing about their hobbies, handcrafts, or hidden treasures?
Game design, world building, #RPG adventures?
I truly need to get our #blogs back up, first by deciding what to do with #b2evolution no longer being maintained. I need to expand our #IoT to #SensAE maturity model from [component], connection, communication, contextualization, collaboration, causation and cognition to adding the missing step between #causation and #cognition which is #conceptualization to realize valuable sensor analytics ecosystems (SensAE) such as #teleinteractive #microgrids and #SmartRegions
From one extreme to another: how to paint when there’s too much water for your watercolors!
Part 4 of our continuing extreme weather series is up on #WriteFreely!
Good Morning Friends! I have to admit that I am a bit overwhelmed by the fact that we have at the time of posting this 101 blogs participating in #Blaugust2023. I talk a bit about those feelings and how Mastodon has embraced this event.
Over One Hundred Blogs
"Your Words Are Wasted"
An interesting post by Mr. Scott Hanselman. (@shanselman)
So I decided to look up my name on DuckDuckGo to see what would come up, and in the image results apparently at least a few people have taken some of my food photos from flickr and posted them on their wordpress sites. Idk what to think about this. They gave me credit in the caption but it still seems like it's probably not okay to do that? 😆 The internet is annoying. 😣
Writing a new post for my cartoon blog to feature a few posts from this other blog that did a lot of great posts about old animation. But as I was writing and doing my research, I realized the posts for this other blog stopped in 2017 (after being active since 2009). Such a shame. It's always sad to see cool blogs disappear.
Curiosity question here. For #blind people who use #Windows and #iOS and have #blogs, whatever platform it's on, do you use an app to write your posts, or do you just write them on your blog's website? Just curious if there's any good #accessible software for writing #blog posts, or if it's best to write them on the blog website. #accessibility #a11y @mastoblind
Meanwhile, the 24-hour general strike called by the coordinating committee of 27 assembly constituencies in Manipur on Saturday paralysing normal life ...
Three people of the Meitei community were killed and a few others injured in fresh clashes in Manipur, all this happened after militants raided the Kwakta Lamkhai village in Bishnupur.
Manipur violence 3 killed, 2 injured in fresh clashes in Bishnupur; 24 hr general strike in Imphal Valley
@darnell @rm4 yes, I agree. People are realising the dangers of one person / company owning their content. #Blogs are the simplest, most accessible means to own your content, and then the various social media platforms will just be distribution channels for that material.

I really start to enjoy reading #TTRPG development #blogs. My preference is bullet points with small explanations and previews of pages. Some examples:

Hi there, I am looking to follow personal #blogs written by #SouthEastAsians, other #Asians, #Africans. Basically not Western. Nothing wrong with the West just that I have a huge RSS feed full of US, UK blogs. I want to diversify my feed.
Apparently, Malaysians like to #blog about 3 things: Food, politics & money 😂
I prefer genuinely personal blogs that are slice of life stuff. If you know of any please recommend to me! 🙏
I just had the thought that personal #blogs might become more relevant again in this new #AI world. I noticed that when I google complex problems, I can't say for certain if the text is written by AI and therefore untested or if it's just plain wrong.
If I know someone from social media or I know that they are good at what they do from other sources, I might trust their content more. Of course, they can still post AI-generated stuff, but it's less likely to be total nonsense.
What I love about having a blog on WP.com is that I get to be on its discovery ecosystem. Through its Reader (accessible via the Jetpack app), I get recommended wonderful #blogs
I think this is the future of the #Internet, with #RSS coming into play as well.
Instead of relying on search engines to discover human content, we have to plug into discovery engines like these..
Currently, I discover good human writing via #Mastodon, #Substack and the Reader.
How about you?
In any case, the flagship blogpost I’ve cobbled together is about #burnout — A topic many of you might have noticed I bring up quite a bit.

I hope this helps anyone and everyone that might be or has experienced burnout. (It definitely felt great to write it, I hope it feels equally cathartic when people read it.)
Please read, like, share, bookmark the site, and all that jazzy jazz! 🎷
