Finally got around to playing Oni. (Awesome box pictured in prior toot) About half way through the game so far and I'm actually enjoying it a lot more than I did back in the day.
Back when I first got it, I think I got to the third mission and just quit. This time I went in and actually took the time to learn the hand to hand combat system, and I'm kinda digging it.
The game definitely suffered from some development hell, and it looks more like a 1997-1998 game than a 2001 game, but it's got some potential. I would actually love to see an Oni remake.
Y'all #Destniy2 there is a massive glitch right now where people can somehow craft regular weapons with exotic perks.
Like a shotgun that obliterates you from auto rifle range.

Got a chance to run through the reprised Crota's End in Destiny 2 today.
There was a bug, that if you had a contest mode check point for Crota, and you killed Crota after contest mode was over, you still got the exotic weapon Necrochasm. That bug was patched within 20 minutes, but I got lucky!

One thing I _adore_ about #bungie and #Destiny2 is how inclusive they and the game are. They have #Pride emblems and a #Trans emblem and one for #Ukraine and so on.
One unfortunate side effect I’ve noticed is PvP players are _noticeably_ more toxic to me when I’m wearing one of the Pride emblems. Whether it’s shooting my ghost and/or teabagging it; pride emblem means it happens more often.

My favourite game of all time is Myth II: Soulblighter from a pre-Halo Bungie.
I've got an install that has followed me from PC to PC for over 20 years. I decided to look into getting a CD image off archive.org and make a clean install.
Then I read the bit below on the page and remember the big fuss when the game came out.
If you installed anywhere other than the default directory, if you uninstalled it, it would wipe the entire hard drive.

Delighted to see that probably my favourite game of all time, Myth II Soulblighter, made by a pre Halo Bungie, still has an active multiplayer community. It's very small, but the community saved the only and have their own service. There's about 17 people online.
Can't actually play right now but that makes me very happy. I have so many happy memories of playing this game online.
It's so sad that some #gamedev companies are basically saying "don't expect our games to be as good as #baldursgate3 because we don't really like #games, we like profit"🤦🏻♂️like, thanks for showing your hand. I'll be hanging onto my wallet from now on when games from #Blizzard and #Bungie and other studios saying things like this, get released.

This is my Destiny 2 Season 21 Hunter look! Going black and red for this season.
I try my best to change up the look each and every season and then keep that look for the entire season.
While I do own/play a Titan and Warlock, I don't play them very often as Hunter is my main.
Really fascinating to hear from people who are disappointed by #Bungie’s new game #Marathon being a multiplayer extraction shooter. I get it, but as someone who never played the #Halo games, it has been such a joy to experience Bungie’s craft through #Destiny2.
Anyway, I for one am looking forward to the new game, though I understand the other perspective.

Thinking about #Marathon some more: #Halo was basically already how Marathon's single-player would have developed. You had the story focus, you had the rampant AI friends (don’t tell me #Cortana isn't basically #Leela).
#Destiny was basically #Bungie trying to do something Halo-like but different and deeper and more MMO-like, and without pissing off MS who still own Halo.
So the only thing Bungie hasn't remade is the Marathon multiplayer. Guessing that's what the new Marathon will be.
Never mind Marathon, where is the Myth reboot?
On second thought, given how far away this Marathon looks from the first series, probably a better idea to let sleeping dogs lie.

Back when my PC-owning friends were playing DOOM or Duke Nukem 3D, I had my head deep in Marathon on Mac. I loved the sci-fi setting and story – getting deeply invested in my AI companions, Leela and Durandal. The series still holds a special place in my heart.
A lot of my old 90's Mac stuff has long since been thrown or given away. But I still have my Marathon booklet, floppies, and "Instant Carnage" coupon. Too precious to let go. 🙂 #Bungie

I've been frustrated that #Bungie and the #destiny2 team continue to be as active on #Twitter as ever. Indeed, much of the info they publish about the game goes exclusively to Twitter, and you can't even find it on their website or their own forums.
I've tried to post about it on their forums and on #Reddit , but in both places moderators deleted my posts.
Supporting Twitter is not consistent with Bungie's stated values and policies.
