#Python folks: Any tips for learning it, coming from #Rust ?
I'm kind of reliant on the strictness of Rust, especially when it comes to using the wrong types and everything. Some way to force me to follow a similar style would be appreciated.
I'm also very reliant on Cargo, it's so *clean* and integrates everything nicely. I'm not sure if there's an equivalent for Python that matches Cargo.

Is there a language that handles dependencies well?
Python's virtual environments are a bit awkward but everything mostly works, I haven't played with Java build tools much, Javascript is a trainwreck. I've been happy with Dart, but haven't gotten into the weeds much. Same with rust, cargo seems nice, but I haven't played with it enough to know the pitfalls yet.

The problem you run into is dependencies. Pacman can't use dnf pkgs as deps & tries to doubly install things, conflicting with the files of dnf pkgs.

Seeing the recent vulnerability in #Cargo and the corresponding fix for it in #RustLang version 1.66.1, I was wondering:
Shouldn't this fix be _backported_ to other versions, too? Am I understanding semver wrong?
So, in my view, there should now also be a version 1.65.1, 1.64.1 and so on.
