Last month Apple released a VoiceOver feature that lets one look at weather map overlays of precipitation, temperature, and air quality. I really hope they release that as an API for others like #Carrot Weather to use at WWDC. That could be amazing and offer much more information that VO users have today.

Thank you to all of you, and I do mean all, who took the time and the trouble to boost or to favourite my simple little toot about the carrot yesterday. It means a lot to me, more than I may ever be able to tell you, and it encourages me even more than that; for when I grew up I was repeatedly told that nobody would ever want to hear what I had to say, or read what I was trying to write.

I've finally come around to harvesting and storing all our carrots. Here is how I went about it.
Ingredients:
* A box (tight, not cardboard)
* Carrots that you grew last year
* Sand
The first step is not surprising. You pick the carrots. You put them in the box. Make sure there is a little space, so they don't sit directly next to each other. Also, don't pile them, there should be only a single layer of carrots.

The best #food is simple and #slowfood. Steamed #potato and #carrot in my #bricknic #romertopf with just some olive oil, with a few spices. Basically a small bit of paprika and chili powder with a bit of #dutch Kerrie powder. #vegan #vegetarian
Spent quite some time, probably close to 2 hours?, on preparing and cooking #dinner earlier today, but I think it was worth it. :)
Cleaned and sliced a bunch of #carrots that we (mostly @Siiw <3) have grown ourselves, as well as a pink, an orange and a plain red #beetroot, red #paprika / #bellpepper, some #garlic and a large #onion. Fried them in batches in a pan alternating between medium-high and low heat.

Wedding the veggie bed, I found a baby #carrot that over-wintered. It got picked, washed in cold water and popped into the fridge to crisp up a bit. I figure it’s gonna be two tiny bites.
Heated up some leftover #pinnekjøtt (some kind of steamed #sheepMeat), #potato and #kålrot (#rutabaga) / #gulrot (#carrot) #mash by frying it in a cast-iron pan with some olive/rapeseed oil. Turned out very well; possibly even better than when it first was prepared.
Not a slight on my mother-in-law, but I think this #meat really benefits from being fried after steaming, and potatoes always are better fried. :D
