This chart on #car sales is fascinating. Back in 2016-2017 at my old company we were wrongly predicting a 100M cars per year market, while in reality we were witnessing peak car. There were some signals though, such as the rise of #CASE (or #ACES or however you want to rearrange the letters). Cars are more reliable, they last longer and an ageing population has fewer reasons to buy a car. Also, #remoteworking became a thing. #BEV are only partially bucking this trend
