back in the early 2000s, i couldn't have been more excited about troika's followup to their Fallout games. Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura appeared to be exactly the kind of fantasy game I wanted in a severe RPG drought.

in the end, Arcanum turned out to be a special kind of creature: fragile, buggy, unbalanced, and yet full of charm, wit and ingenuity.

what stood out to me though, were Ben Houge's sombre compositions for a string quartet. it was the kind of classical music that would - should! - have played on #cbc radio canada on a quiet sunday morning.

OMG! I'm streaming CBC on my desktop to watch Game 1 of the NHL Stanley Cup playoff series between Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers.

They are now in double overtime. Exciting game!

Then the stream abruptly ended with a note "Program Has Ended". I guess CBC only had rights to the game up till midnight Eastern time?? Aaargh!

Now I'm going to have to find it on AM radio somewhere and listen to the rest of the game on audio only.

One thing I like about this chart is the projections based on policies at various stages (from legislated to announced). It looks like if the politicians stick to their plans we have hope of coming close to our goal! So don't stop pressuring your MP to fight for the planet.

This is straight-up deserved by the CBC and its leadership, and honestly, he's not wrong. The subtext here is that the CBC does not really care about editorial independence as, now, they are firmly owned by the whims of #Musk - and Musk will exploit that now that he knows of the CBC's dependency.

I'm trying to shop for food at places other than Loblaws run stores. I found a good food store, Kensington Fruit Market at 36 St. Andrew Street, in Kensington Market, that often sells stuff that's older and leftover (but still mostly good) for quite cheap. I bought these grapes for $1.00. Some are spotted, but still quite tasty. The container in the image is 5 litres in volume.

After all the disputes about the labels for #media on #Twitter, they now have disappeared entirely. #CBC is not "69% government" funded anymore, "#NPR and #PBS also have no extra-text. As do propaganda outlets from #Russia, #China or #Iran.

Still no #TwitterExodus, but another #PublicBroadcaster leaving: Swedish #SverigeRadio quits #Twitter. A reason stated, is that it simply "has become less important to us" & "only 7% of Swedes are daily on Twitter".
