Some aspects of the style I chose don’t translate directly to the 3D medium but I’m hopeful that it’ll turn out okay after a few iterations :) mostly I want to be able to capture the right energy…

A hapless bookworm (literally!) who is obsessed with becoming the best Scrabble player in all of Bug Island.
He tries to be calm, cool, and collected, but just try outwitting him at Scrabble! (It’s not hard.) He’ll go from greeting you “Namaste” to ranting at length, throwing his thesaurus out the window, and then quietly sobbing underneath an old table in a fetal position.
An old favorite from 2019, at some point I'd like to redraw it.

I've been brainstorming an idea for a new game, a wholesome visual novel/puzzler about an interstellar freighter pilot turned RobinHood-like pirate captain and her found family/crew. I've literally filled up 40 sketchbook pages full of alien heads trying to find the right combinations of alienness and relatability. Still not sure I'm there, but figured I've got enough to share and get some more eyes on them. Let me know if any strike you!

Working with Miyonautica is what inspired me to start learning to draw. The joy I felt watching her progress on my character was so strong that I wanted to learn how to make people that happy myself. I have a lot of work ahead of me if I ever want to create things this complex, but the journey so far has been amazing. I made my wife smile last night with the drawing of the kitty in the "Catazon" box and that felt *awesome*.
