#Sing is the second #Illumination #movie I am familiar with, and this was my third watch. While it has a lot of #charm, #interesting #characters and some great moments, it is just full of flaws that hamper the experience.

Like... why doesn't #Buster immediately correct the mistake once he is made aware of it? At that point he had much more to lose by lying, yet he lied anyway until it was too late. But this is a #nostalgic #film, and I do really love the #animation and #character #designs (although they do reuse models quite a lot).

Tomorrow on the #IlluminationMarathon, we return to good ol' Gru and his family (including a secret twin) in #DespicableMe3.

Man, this is wild. Believe it or not this jump in art happened in a little over a year's time after I joined a group of artists and really started to challenge myself more with body types and expression.

These 3 are so important to me and I am happy to announce I am returning to the world of webcomics with them again!!

Richard, Lazarus, and Wade all have some trouble to get into still!!

I'm considering trying Diablo 4. I'm pretty predictable in that I'll probably play a fire sorceress as always. I always play a firey witch character.

Except in Larp, there I am myself in my own body, and I need the exercise anyway. So I'll play a Paladin with a great sword. I kind of want to adopt a dancing sword style. Lol I still need a name.

I want something fire related that screams gentle giant because that's basically me. 😁

Made a new frontpage for my comic. Some character design changes and a few months of adapting to the style does a lot to the quality.

Originally meant for black and white screentones, but I also made a colorized version for fun.

So I've finally finished the #Spellslinger series ending with Sebastien De Castell's #CrownBreaker.

It's one of those series I'm really sad to finish but really happy to have read (or listened to). It's definitely a #series. I will revisit. Loved the #characters, the #magical systems and #worldbuilding. Must #read for #fantasy #readers.

Also, Joe Jameson did an excellent job narrating these books.

had a really great time last night building a character for a game!

i've learned that something i actively want and like from ttrpg groups is at least a few of the players being proactive about putting character ideas out there and mutual encouragement to create character backstory ties and connections

i played with a couple groups where it seemed like getting any kind of collaborative character building was met with mostly just silence, and players barely had fully written basic character sheets before the game, written independently, with pretty much nothing beyond that for ties to the GM's world, or the other characters

i completely respect people wanting to play that way, and i'm not gonna knock other people's fun, but it's definitely not for me

how does this ring for ya'll? do you have the same fun in both groups, or do you also like to have a fun character building session with the other players before the game?

The first thing Randall needed to do was securing the ongoing support of George Timotheus MacNamara. As soon as they fired Lix, she would lose the support of the BBC’s legal department. But he knew that MacNamara was venal. He had no idea if his contract was tailored the way he could work independently from the BBC or if he just did it. To Randall, the only thing important was that he did, because he was brilliant.

Unfortunately, MacNamara was also a pompous, narcissistic chatterbox. For nearly ten minutes now, MacNamara was talking without letting Randall tell him why he came here.

“… so, he’s a free man now. Goes to show that it isn’t really a question of guilty or not but about who you have or haven’t got as solicitor.”

MacNamara now ended his story, took a sip of whisky, drew on his cigar, and leaned back in his impressive leather armchair in his impressive office which was one of the best and most spacious ones in the BBC’s main building. The man himself was impressive, too. Handsome, really. Nearly six feet tall, well-built with black hair which was greying at the temples. Impressive, black, bushy eyebrows guarded two small but very vivid grey-green eyes. The nose seemed to belong to a Greek god and the mouth was a well-rounded line over a lordly, determined chin.
