THE RING is incredible. It’s a gorgeous, well-shot film. The film is creepy and suspenseful from the opening scene. This interpretation of the story is also absolutely heart wrenching. It’s another movie that doesn’t let up. The cast is also incredible. I really enjoyed it.

Recuerdo con especial cariño "Ojos de fuego": fue lo primero que leí de Stephen King, allá por mi temprana adolescencia.
Vista la nueva adaptación de 2022. Pese al interés que me despierta, bastante flojita. No logra trasladar a la pantalla en absoluto la atmósfera angustiosa, casi paranoica, de la novela, con esa huida constante y desesperada de oscuros agentes del Gobierno. Sin ser tampoco una gran película, está mucho mejor conseguida la versión de 1984.

WISH UPON really isn’t a bad film. It’s definitely on the lighter side. The movie has a decent story with a few creative kill scenes. While it is a bit predictable, there are also some surprising moments. We have all watched much worse movies than this. The ending swerve is also amazing.

The glory and infamy of this film, in two moments of the same scene.
First, the infamous moment: the utterly stupid, insipid ending of Supreme Leader Snoke. Possibly the dumbest moment in a dumb movie.
One of the biggest mistakes of the entire Sequel trilogy was not letting this moment be Leia’s chance to go out in a blaze of glory. Not letting her pass the torch on to a new generation of iconic leaders. Not letting Carrie Fisher have a dignified and glorious ending to her portrayal of this role.

The Rashomon-esque part of Luke & Kylo’s story is legitimately so interesting, a testament to this particular storytelling trope.
And the ForceTime calls between Kylo & Rey are maybe my favorite component of the two last movies (even if I hate the story explanation of it).
Finn and Rose are cute, but… underused, the relationship triangle between them and Rey is awkward and confusing at best, and the entire Canto Bight storyline is a good nod towards a moral center for this movie but also feels weirdly wedged into the wrong movie.
And the entire plan to deactivate the tracker is… deeply, deeply stupid.
Admiral Holdo is terrific (protect Laura Dern at all costs) but the strength and competence of her character (and Leia as well) just serves to paint Poe as an ever worsening lunk head. #StarWars #TheLastJedi #Cinemastodon
