My baby girl 'froginajar's full rendered design! She's a shapeshifting graffiti artist who uses her jumping skills and froggy feet to get up to higher places tot ag what has never been tagged before.

Pretty darn happy with how she turned out! She still doesn't have an official name other than 'froginajar' but she's yet to tell me.

1. In a dark police squad room, a tech sits in front of a monitor and keyboard. "Sergeant!" he says. "We have security camera footage from the crime scene!" The sergeant leans over his shoulder. "Show me," he says.
2. Close on the monitor: grainy footage of a parking garage. The sergeant points at a small, dark silhouette of a figure walking. "There's our perp," he says. "Enhance!"

Speaking of zines, here's the painting of OFMD's Ed Teach/Blackbeard I made for the Kraken zine last year. I'm super excited for Season 2 next month! 🏴‍☠️🥰

I've finally, at age 50, had to get my first set of reading glasses. I've been doing a lot of sketching for the last 4 years and it's really punished my eyes, with all the intense close focus work.

I was told as a teen that I had perfect vision, but with glasses (to correct slight astigmatism) I had super vision. Optometrist a few days ago said the same thing, that I had the best unaided vision he's seen in six weeks, and that I've done very well to get to this age without stronger correction.

Apparently, from the age of 35, our vision pushes outwards, reducing our capability with close focus but strengthening our far focus. Mine have been doing the same, but I'm still ahead of the curve.

Which was fucking great news and the rest of my body could take some cues from the eyes, TYVM.

Let the sketching re-commence! =D

It is no secret that adobe is a wildly unethical company with barely functioning software that uses predatory sale and subscription tactics, holding the creative industries in a stranglehold.
To make an example: Substance painter is made to not open projects made with newer versions of the software from the old ones, thus making one time purchase of their product not viable if you wish to collaborate or use a project given to you without having to purchase again for a newer version.

We as creatives need to steer away from adobe software:
-Don't recommend it to people.
-Stop supporting them by buying new versions of their software
-Move different software.

We can help loosen their grip on creativity.

Heres some software alternatives I have used and/or know about.

1. From a user's POV inside a VR headset, a cute robot character floats into view. "Hi! I'm Genie," it says, "Your A.I.-powered entertainment bot! What do you want to watch today?" "I wanna watch a movie where Spider-Man fights Batman at Wrestlemania!" the user responds.
2. The user sits in his recliner, a beer in his hand. "Sorry," Genie says, "I'm afraid I can't do that." "Why not?" asks the user. "I thought A.I. can create whatever I want."
3. In the headset, Genie explains. "Well, see… Spider-Man is owned by Disney, Batman is owned by Warner Bros, and Wrestlemania is WWE. To combine them legally, I would need a licensing agreement between all three companies that allows for…" it trails off.
4. Later, on the side of the road, two sanitation workers empty trash cans into a garbage truck. "Hey look!" one says, holding up something he fished out of a can: "Another pair a'them expensive goggles!"
