Oh boy, it's yet another #AlbumCover. I went on a trip to #Budapest, #Hungary recently. And accidentaly, there's an album made by the Hungarian music collective (Psychedelic Source Records) album called "Wildeastern Parapsychology". It's #Bandcamp description really has it all.
"Welcome, unsuspected wanderer. This is the center of the east, the home of blockhouses, mass-fear, people who look like they just had a big bite of shit. Arguing farmers, sarcistic bus drivers, deeply sucked any-isms propaganda. Mean, envious but christian and truly not that colourful because colours are different".
Well, I'm an eastern European too. I feel it a lot.

Yes, something with #nostalgia.
I really like music albums. And I'm a huge fan of covers. One of them I even use for an account background.
So I thought "why not just post album covers I like?" so I did just that. Enjoy.
I really love this record by Captain Sensible. And the cover is like, the best. It screams "it's punk-ish". For some reason, though, I see there a face belonging to Ian from Minor Threat/Fugazi/Egghunt.
Oh, and beret is a nice touch.

Some days, just a scribble works as a composition.
Having this sketchbook, which I've been semi-regular at, helps tick the "did some art" box, while, finally, being truly a junk sketchbook, not destined for preservation.
And yet, in flipping through, it shows me themes worth pursuing, like just scribbles, themselves. They've been a constant in my life, and now, stand in as a notation for "did some thinking". As one does, occasionally... :)

This little experiment is feeling like it's beginning to grow into something that I'm beginning to like.
I wasn't sure until I added the big circles and that sorta started to give a focus point to the piece.
One of my wiwaxia for #InverteFest!
This is a handprinted Wiwaxia, a half billion year old soft-bodied animal covered in scales and spines. These animals lived in the early and middle Cambrian period and fossils are found worldwide, including in Canada's Burgess Shale. The animals themselves were only about 5 cm (2") but my linocut prints are much bigger.

I made 2 collages out of trash papers, cardboard and acrylic paint.
I wanted to post them as is, but then realized it would be very difficult to add alt text because of the various ways to read it. The text also looks very small on photos of the pieces. So I decided to record the "alt text" myself and make it into a video, and add thus another layer to my pieces.
Most of the text is in Polish, some random words are in english.
This collages background is abstract and mostly red, yellow, orange, with some small blue and white splashes. It was painted using a sponge.There are some protruding pieces of cardboard glued to it. There are also 4 window-like openings in the background. There is a string with metal loops attached to it, that can be used to hang the piece.

I'm unhappy and wary about uploading my #tarot notes and observations to Google Docs or Notion, both of whom implement AI and are not end-to-end encrypted, and it's been on my mind for a few days.
Today my cards prompted me to return to handwritten journaling via a mix of #JunkJournal and tarot notes. Junk journaling and #Collage had given me joy and kept me sane in 2020-21. I want to do it again.
It's funny, I've personally changed so much since 2020-21, but I do still love making art.

"W#[ˈaɡwɐʒDʒiˈmaʁsu]ters of March" (#Portuguese: "Águas de março" [ˈaɡwɐʒ dʒi ˈmaʁsu]) is a #Brazilian #song composed by #AntônioCarlosJobim (1927–1994) in 1972. Jobim wrote both the Portuguese and #English lyrics.
