It was a very calm morning to enjoy the start of a new day from my cruise vacation in April. It is just wide open seas somewhere between Jamaica and the port of Aruba. I've made it even more colorful with the use of digital brushes and textures applied to my photo.

Passageways such as depicted in this painting are very common in Italy. Medieval towns were often built on relatively steep hilltops for purposes of protection. This led to the practice of building steps and in many cases, tunnels, for ease of movement.
