It seems to me that the sexual respectability of male #conservatives has declined.
The "patriarchy is good, stay barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen" thing was always an issue. But "good provider, has a kitchen" flies with that flock of memes; it's a known deal-closer.
Not that anger was ever rare in conservatism, but #MAGA levels of foaming rage toward "the other" poses new problems for the #rightwing Lothario. Rage and the habits of disrespect are dangerous to #women, and they know it.
The news throughout America, chock o' block full of white nationalist extremists attacking Arabs and Jews alike, because they "look different" and speak a "funny language".

I can't help but to think that we are talking about two completely different things using the same words. The failure she is talking about is the failure of the #conservatives to destroy social security, eliminate health care and jail mothers and LGBTQ and rule everyone.
We view the failure of conservatives to represent the people, to work for responsible to programs that can better educate people, lead to lower health care and a cleaner environment as the failure to win anything.
Bubba Copeland was forced to live life in secrecy, to such a degree that when it came to light, he killed himself.
Societies that force people to not be themselves are illegitimate and evil. Period.
And too many "good" religious folk accept and thrive in such societies.
