VanMoof ser godt nok lækker ud. 😻
Jeg satte prisen op mod (1) at jeg ikke har bil, og (2) at den offentlige transport på Bornholm er både dyr og elendig. I den sammenhæng kan prisen på hverken VanMoof eller Cowboy afskrække mig.
Anekdotisk: Jeg flyttede til Bornholm for seks år siden og jeg købte Cowboy-cyklen for ét år siden. På det år har jeg set og lært mere om Bornholm end de foregående fem år.
I ét stræk kan jeg vel cykle 25−30 km, så det er ca. den radius jeg bevæger mig inden for, men jeg plejer mestendels at holde mig inden for de 15−20 km. Batteriet på cyklen har en samlet rækkevidde på max 78 km i “eco mode” (og vel max en 58 km i “adaptive mode”), afhængigt af bakkehøjder, -hældninger og vindretning, så der er en “naturlig” øvre grænse hvis jeg skal hjem samme dag, selv om jeg splitter turene op i mindre bidder.

Buddy stopped at our usual spot near the bridge and cottonwoods. A farmer who was opening the irrigation canal headgate walked up and asked if I was lost. I said no only drawing and letting my dog rest. Honestly, if I could fork my process and simultaneously work on the 173 other projects I want to, a LibreOffice Calc plug-in for JetBrains GoLand would be on the list. Imagine being able to link a section of code to a cell in a spreadsheet (also in the project of course).
I’m buying an e-bike and tomorrow Cowboy is increasing the price of their bicycles. I ordered one to keep them as an option with the current price, but now I’m about to cancel the order. After placing my order, I went out to read more what people are talking about the brand and the fears after the VanMoof bankruptcy. One comment that got stuck with me was: “Do you see yourself riding this bike 5 or 10 years from now?” Honestly, Cowboy will be e-waste by then.
