this pic is a redo of what if titanosaurus from the godzilla franchise was in legendry's monsterverse. I really didn't not like the redesign I did before, I did not the look of his head fin and his back sail and his colors were way off to how the are in the movie. so I redid the head fin, the back sail, made the body colors more bright and accurate from the movie and added more texture and markings to the body.

Technically I am a software dev but tbh the only real consequences that job/interest has gotten me are a lot of #gender #dysphoria and some cool socks.
Im a never ending source of useless information and listen to a lot of different genres of music and always hope to find new artists I can listen to. A few of my favourite genres are #glitchpop, #breakcore and #jumpstyle.

I am also very interested in #Reading, #Writing and more recently #Acting. And been wanting to write some #Fantasy texts. I get wanting the #mystery, but the notion of the #LochNessMonster is absurd. There isn't some giant unknown #species lurking beneath the waves of Loch Ness. There can't be. For there to be a #creature, there has to be a #population that has proliferated and thrived for many, many years. It would have to be a large population with biological diversity that exists as part of a larger food chain. If it was real, there would diverse evidence of the species, but there's not.

When I was six or seven I went to a father-son #camp with my dad. We took a paddle boat out on the lake to #fish. As we baited our hooks the water in front of the #boat convulsed as a tremendous head and neck emerged from the water. I screamed "Dinosaur!" at the top of my lungs and the #creature sunk back beneath the water. I clenched the sides of the paddle boat - I knew it was going to come up under us and capsize our vessel!
I took a few macro photos of this purple and cream flower. None of the photos were quite right, but they all made me think of alien landscapes. They were very other-worldly.
Then one of them turned into this.
I think it's friendly.

This is the most deliciously creepy parasite I have yet encountered in my garden. It is called "corn smut" or "huitlacoche" in Englisch ("Maisbeulenbrand" in DE), is a fungus that lives on corn, looks like an alien creature, and is super tasty when ripe and cooked. Sadly, in spite of now several weeks of very rainy & humid weather, so far it is also the only one in my garden, not yet enough for a meal for 2, but I still have hope that the infestation may spread farther 🤞

Roboastra gracilis is a tiny sea slug reaching only 2-2.5 cm in length, it looks totally out of this world, is a nudibranch & found tropical western Pacific Ocean, the base color of its body is blue-black with yellow-orange longitudinal lines, has large rhino pores (ear-like structure) & gills, it has been reported when this animal is disturbed, the yellow-orange spots along the body open & yellow acidic fluid is released, the spots close once the chemical is released.
Further back? No problem! Some of that stuff is wild! <3
The best part about it? I know future-me will look at my works now and be proud of me. That's an awesome feeling.

I can't decide if this painted shell turned out interesting, or a dismal disappointment. It's supposed to be a tide pool with anemones, urchins, starfish, and barnacles, but... I was too excited by the subject matter of "tide pool" (I love tide pools), and didn't give enough thought to design.
Next time, I'll focus on just one creature and perhaps some bladderwrack.
I find that when a painting has gone wrong, it almost always went wrong in the initial design phase. I'm always sorry when I "wing it" instead of thoroughly working through questions on an initial sketch. I sometimes wish I could be more free-flowing in my approach, but, well, that's just not who I am.
