"SARAJEVO, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Slovenia's only nuclear power plant Krsko (NEK), jointly owned by Slovenia and Croatia, was shut down early on Friday due to a leak in its containment building, the company said on its website.

"'The nuclear power plant Krsko was shut down today, at 05:30 (0330 GMT), and has been placed under safe state of so-called hot-standby,' the company said.

"Expert teams have begun work to locate the site of the leak, the company said, adding it would be able to estimate the time for repairs and a restart of the plant after the source of the leak had been found.

"On Thursday, NEK flagged it would close the plant after finding about the leak in the primary system within the containment building, even though the leak was below technical specification limits.

"NEK, in eastern Slovenia close to the border with Croatia, produces more than six billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually which covers about 20% of the electrical energy demand in Slovenia and 16% in Croatia.
NEK was built in cooperation with U.S. company Westinghouse Electric Corporation and started operating in 1982. In 2016 Slovenia and Croatia agreed to prolong its lifespan by 20 years until 2043."

How beautiful. In a very different place, Hvar island, Croatia, there are many stone walls – as a way to keep the soil stone-free for cultivation. The stones have many holes and crevices, and are a favourite home to native bees like from the genera Nomioides and Hylaeus. These are very small solitary bees, at 3 and 4 mm in length respectively.

The grapes and figs come from the garden where two AMOROUS TORTOISES are currently attempting to LOUDLY and ENTHUSIASTICALLY make new tortoises near the peppers. There are BEES and ROOSTERS and tomato vines and a lurking cat that we're no doubt going to make friends with. And a little dog that just dropped by to see if he could snaffle some of my toasted cheese sandwich.

I’ve recently seen this with my 75yo dad who started (in order to go to #DeepWeek in #Croatia): His school was ok, but they didn’t focus on #equalisation using #Frenzel . If you pick a Freediving school you get more out of it. Therefore, stick with more Freediving specific agencies e.g. #molchanovs or #aida and maybe not #padi or #ssi…

No, it isn't cranberry juice, it's a Benriach 11. My nephew decanted this for me for our Campbeltown trip. First chance I have had to give it a go.

With the colour of garnets or carnelian in the glass, having spent the last 22 months finishing in a Plavac Mali (Croatia) barrique, it is just stunning! The first waft you get is of cherry liqueur and cherry jam. At 62.2% it really needs to sit for around 10 minutes to allow it to develop.

More sweet cherries and fruit on the palate memories of Rosehip Syrup that you sometimes got as a child. and a real whack of alcohol. Hot and spicy at first which mellows into a nice warmth coating the mouth with a wee touch of woodiness and perhaps a hint of chocolate at the end. Nice!
