I must admit I always get worried about bills and the end/start of the month will all the outgoings but #Cupofteasocial is always sorted and has been since I think February this year by donations.

What spurred this on to clear up other than the fact mastodon doesnt clean up orphan files properly, was the big bill from the storage. #Cupofteasocial's media usage has increased to 3.6TB a jump of 1.4TB since last month. This partly comes from the testing of another fediverse software in the form of music streaming but its way too expensive to run for me.
Using the Purge command on the storage that hosts all the #Cupofteasocial media is proper scary. Luckily everything looks fine

Well we're up to 59% Thanks to all that donated so far to #Cupofteasocial . These Mastodon servers have no ads. Whilst ive off ill with this double flu thing ive been mostly keeping the spam off here. Its always the stuff you dont see as a user that is the most work for any #Mastoadmin So if you read this on a different server support your local admin
Well its coming towards the end of the month and we're well below our target for self sustaining the server costs. I try not to ask too much every month if I can help it but this is a bit too low at only 63%

Not sure how far into the void my posts go. But if you're looking for a nice, positive and wholesome server for Mastodon #Cupofteasocial is a nice little place in the corner of mastodon that doesnt get any trouble (I try) Fedi has a guide on how to migrate servers if you're unsure how.
Cupoftea.social has been going a year now and pootles on quite nicely. Still connected to the joinmastodon servers. General topics of convo normally consist of cats,sewing, food , drink, tv , vinyl , music and of course tea.

Im still a bit under the weather so havent done anything to celebrate it. There was talk of a meetup but honestly looking at the weather and my cold its probably best skipped.
Anyway Cupoftea.social has kept me going for the past year. Ive been in and out of work having been messed about so its always nice to have something to go back to.
I am Humbled that something I created is bringing people happiness in some form.
I generally scrape by month to month partially from not having work and partially down to having a vinyl record habit that is so bad my local shop sign up to keep me and others informed. 😄
People have been more than generous with donations keeping it going. My biggest problem/worry is not having enough monthly to see it through one month to the next.
On the backend /technical of things theres been a couple of issues but all part of the learning curve for me.
I hope you'll join me in having a mug of tea/coffee today.

Last Day of #Cupofteasocial in Year 0
A year ago today, I joined the #Fediverse properly. My first toot was on mas.to, which was highly overloaded at the time, due to the nth #TwitterMigration that was happening at the time. https://mas.to/@moof/109364413721476016
So much has happened since then, but to me the most important thing is that it’s revitalised my social media presence, and been something I am (somewhat) regularly posting on and interacting with, rather than it being a throwaway #ADHD fad I forgot about after a month, or something that I petered out on as time goes by because the experience was unfulfilling.
I am still reminded of the early days of Twitter, (I was there before @replies and #hashtags were invented), and the fun that I had then. It’s back, and it’s awesome.
I did eventually change instance, after a little soul-searching to the wonderful #CupOfTeaSocial, and I am grateful for everything that @Whiskeyomega does to keep this wholesome instance going. It’s subtle, but it genuinely makes a difference

I dont know if its something my end or not but both one off donations and monthly donations for the servers dont seem to be getting taken. No idea why It says the monthly ones are active but 2 havent arrived. However in good news Stripe now says we are worthy of a quicker withdraw rate at 2 days instead of a week.

I make teabags at home from loose leaf #tea that I then put into my tea maker at work when I want a cuppa. Up to now I’ve been keeping them in a mish-mash of takeaway containers, but today I brought in some jars and have imposed some order, and it looks so much neater.
I hope the Catalan normalisation department don’t have a go at me for labelling in English.

Currently still doing a Media cache migration and deleting 2.4TB of other servers media cache that you guys have looked at. You have been busy #Cupofteasocial Anyway, Apologies if the server is a little slow whilst this is going on but 2.4TB worth of cache takes a good day to delete.
Are images broken across Mastodon or is it just #Cupofteasocial or just me?? Tried two different apps and after two days still no avatars or photos visible. Alt text displayed instead.

Seems to be some network issues at the host for the servers of #Cupofteasocial . Im keeping an eye on it.
