One of those who did that today has a header image full of #deer, so here are two photos taken from our bedroom window. The #roe was in our neighbour's garden a fortnight ago, the #muntjac in our's last week and was the first time I've ever seen one at rest. It didn't stay long, five minutes or so.

Behind the fence in my backyard you can see a big tree with a deer underneath it. It’s rainy and there are different kinds of wildflowers in the field between us and the doe. I photographed this deer and her two spotted fawns dining on the greenery next to the vet's in the middle of town where I used to live. There was so much wildlife around there, that kind of sight wasn't uncommon.

Up into the gable stands a brown proud deer against a background of yellow grass and a few green trees. The mural is designed in such a way, that from the chest to the face a kind of floral pattern, in the form of rose petales, of the same color, was painted over it. It is the artist's trademark and makes it more than just a beautiful animal painting.

While on vacation in the Massanutten, Virginia area during the summer. I noticed a quite bit of bucks, does, and fawns along the various roads there. In 1925 Frank Phillips built a ranch retreat, Woolaroc, on 3,700 acres in the Osage Hills in northern Oklahoma. Today it is a wildlife preserve, home to many species of native and exotic animals. There is also an amazing museum to explore. Woolaroc was derived from three words that described the area; woods, lakes and rocks.

It was late autumn and a male Fallow Deer with majestic, palmate antlers is calmly walking across the grass that has already turned light brown. The trees have very few leaves left on them. There is a peaceful silence in the air, creating a tranquil atmosphere as nature is preparing for the winter season.

The white-tailed deer at Massanutten Resort seem to be the most popular wildlife residents.

They are often found grazing along the road, golf courses and running through the woods. We also notice quite a few groundhogs in the area as well.
