During the summer vacation I made my scuba diving cert (OWD) at Tauchsportcenter Wassermann.
That was organized as a cool camping event, along with the diving course - and they even made pasta!

Can We Swim With Whale Sharks Responsibly?
Time for more cephalopods! This time around, we have Wunderpus photogenicus (yes, this is really the scientific name). The first one we saw was in maybe 15 feet of water and our guide found it before we had all even descended. It didn't seem too bothered as photographers gathered around and snapped away. Philippines diving is epic!

Dumaguete Day #1 is in the books and wow did we have some awesome critters to kick things off. The stars today were the ribbon eels (we saw 3 on the middle dive), the many species of shrimp, crabs, and anemonefish covering every anemone, and the two species of mantis shrimp we spotted on the last dive.

Incidentally, Jacob’s Well is infamously dangerous for divers who attempt to explore the underwater caves below. Multiple people have died down there, sometimes lured by a false exit that never surfaces.

Saw something #diving I’ve never seen before. A hogfish that changes colors. Apparently the cells that do this are a rudimentary form of vision that react to light and shadow. The fish has eyes, too. Wild.
Did some #diving in Miami. Not the best dive destination, but we got to see the Neptune Memorial, where they combine remains with cement in an artificial reef. Lots of markers and someone even buried their cat there.😻 Also home to a small school of very large barracuda!
