This - MyHouse.WAD doomworld.com/forum/topic/1342 is the absolute masterpiece! Not only as #Doom mod and/or (classic) Doom level design example but as an exemplar of game design.
It has strong vibes, look and feel of Doom, The Stanley Parable, and The Backrooms (very well mixed together) but also atmosphere and some subtle or less subtle references to Mark Z. Danielewski's House of Leaves. #MyHouseWAD

I want #idsoftware to just say fuck-it and create a female 'DOOM Gal' as an option to 'DOOM Guy' and I'll even give 3 reasons why:
1. You get to look at a female ass when slaying demons. Your audience is predominantly male. Do the math, this one ain't complicated.
2. You get to attract an entirely new audience through more female gamers trying the game.
3. As the majority of the game is first person and the character is mute, the amount of actual dialogue changes and re-rigging required is minimal.
Give me #doom gal, pls 🙏

Kick was a short-lived citrus soda, created to compete with Mountain Dew and similar products.
In this single-level Doom WAD, you must arm yourself with red-and-green weaponry, and fight off men in suits that are trying to force "Alpine Spew" upon you.
So for those keeping score, both Chex and Kick had their own promotional Doom creations.

I'm doing a charity stream for #TheTrevorProject today, for my birthday, with @v4lp4l ! We're doing No Rest for the Living with #HideousDestructor, and a mod I made that lets charity donations turn into in-game effects, like spawning monsters and generating frag!
@pancake@mastodont.cat Just pushed few more commits for #r2doom and it’s now finally playable:
- strife movement implemented (‘q’ and ‘e’ keys)
- collision detection fixed (use doble and int instead of float and uint8)
- support locked doors (unlock them with keys)
- custom map loader and editor
- weapon flashing when shooting
- enemy damage adjusted
- better ascii art for perspective walls
- colors and labels for important elements
- use hjkl, wasd and arrow keys to move
- handle map exit elements
My House is a very strange Doom Mod that verges on an absolute wonder work of art. I really can't recommend checking it out enough. Here is a video documenting the mod.

@FourthWoods Wow. That actually looks really nice! It's funny, but one of the things that immediately caught my eye about this vs classic doom, was the smooth framerate and how when turning, it didn't snap to 45 degree turns. The textures on the walls really add.

If you're into some heavy, catchy, incredible guitar-driven music (it's not as crazy as full-on death metal, but it is HEAVY - there are solos, and his singing is pretty cool), there's a (doom metal? heavy rock?) band called Telekinetic Yeti who released an album called 'Primordial' last year, in 2022-- I've been revisiting it today.
I listened to this a LOT last year, and the beginning of this year.
The vocals aren't your typical heavy or death metal growls or screams, they're definitely sung and you can make them out-- but the RIFFS are crushing, this is a TWO PIECE band, too. Just two guys, a guitarist/singer and drummer.
Give em a listen if you're into some heavier stuff. The whole album has a REALLY nice feel.
