Got an #earworm ATM (Friend Or Foe - Adam Ant). Asked the missus if she had any idea why (maybe she'd had it on the radio, music player, or something) She said "I couldn't even say how it goes - but I'm sure you can tell me" 😂
Went to bed last night and a song started running through my head. I couldn't remember what decade the song was from or who sang it (for some reason I thought it might be Billy Joel or maybe even 10CC or their offshoot, Godley & Creme - all have put out songs where they used fairly high voices). It was just these (slightly incorrect) 4 lines constantly playing on repeat in my head:

The song was still in my head when I woke up this morning, and it has been an earworm constantly since then. So I did a quick search online. Of course I was completely wrong when it came to the artist.

I have an #earworm antidote that always works for me: Beach Boys, Good Vibrations. If I think my way through the tricky harmonies and overlapping lyrics for a while it seems to displace anything else that was occupying the infested part of the brain, and it's complicated enough that it doesn't cling on as a replacement earworm.
