Three signs it was a good class:
1. Kids don't want to leave when the timer goes off (I set a timer on my phone with a 2 min buffer).
2. Kids ask if they can keep working on their projects in quiet study (I don't assign homework).
3. Kids call you over during class - not to ask for help but to show you what they've discovered or created.
Bonus:
You overhear three kids (one boy, two girls) saying they love computer science as they're leaving the room.

Yesterday during advisory our 7th graders traveled to Windsor Park Elementary, in CMS (Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools) to partner up with "1st Grade buddies." Our buddy pairs and triads built bird feeders together, designing them and making them with paper bowls, string, rings, and cheerios. It was so fun! /1
