I've not seen this pass across my timeline, which surprises me a little, so apologies if anyone has already posted it.
Autobahn's release and subsequent global success really is a defining moment in modern music. Not the first electronic music (not Kraftwerk's first, even) but the first to step from 'weird, tiny and generally ignored niche' to 'this is how an awful lot of music is going to be from now on'.
One of very few songs (Ike Turner's Rocket 88 is another) which creates a precise line of before and after.

Nowadays I'm a semi-hermit living with my delightful musician / artist partner & our two sons in an old farmhouse & studio overlooking world heritage listed rainforest in #Australia's Northern Rivers region. Louisiana became the first state ever to pull out of an obscure bipartisan voting partnership known as the #Electronic #Registration #Information #Center, or ERIC.
#ERIC is currently the only system that can catch if someone votes in more than one state, which is illegal.
Election officials widely agree it helps to identify dead people on voting lists.
But Louisiana was done with it.
"This week I sent a letter to [ERIC], suspending Louisiana's participation in that program," Ardoin said.
Due to a far-right misinformation machine, Ardoin's announcement garnered 15 seconds of applause.

German electro-pop pioneers Kraftwerk release their seventh album, “The Man-Machine”
It’s a more modern, digestible sound that incorporates more dance beats than their previous albums. I don’t know who was into this when it came out except some hard core audiophiles or people into experimental electronic music. The album’s popularity took a while to build, as it didn’t chart in the UK til four years later.
But it’s a classic now, and a highly influential album that’s left its mark on synth music of all sorts ever since.
I prefer the more accessible tracks, like the opener, “The Robots”, which in German is the much cooler “Die Roboter”.

I want to put accelerometers (or magnetometers or gravitometers or something) on parts of my body so that as it moves I can control sound via some kind of contemporary synthesizer. I don't want to have to solder anything
