The rule could generate up to $34.8 billion in #health benefits each year.
Rule would require all lead service lines in the country be replaced within 10 years, and would lower the current lead action level in drinking water from 15 parts per billion to 10ppb. But, ripping out and replacing #leadpipes will not come cheap. EPA estimates it will cost $20B to $30B to replace the pipes over 10 years

Habt ihr schon alle brav bei eurer #krankenversicherung einen #widerspruch zur #elektronischepatientenakte eingereicht? Falls nicht, wird ab #Januar2024 für euch (oder besser gesagt: für die #Pharmaindustrie) ein #ePA automatisch angelegt. Bis dahin erfolgt dieses nur auf Wunsch des #Patienten, also als #datenschutzfreundliches und #menschenachtendes #OptIn. Ab dem kommenden Jahreswechsel gilt nur noch ein #Widerspruchsverfahren, also #OptOut.

@digitalcourage ich kann eure Beispiele nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Beim Autoschlüssel würde ich schon erwarten, dass das Autohaus kontrolliert, ob jemand berechtigt ist, meinen Schlüssel zu empfangen, dies also notfalls auch mit Personalausweis zu überprüfen. Und beim Flug macht eine Personenkontrolle aus Sicherheitsgründen genauso Sinn, wie an einer Landesgrenze. Ich habe meinen Ausweis übrigens nur zwei Mal im letzten Jahr vorweisen brauchen. Die #Bundesregierung will das Gesundheitswesen digitalisieren. In einer ersten Lesung stießen zwei Gesetzentwürfe im #Bundestag auf breite Zustimmung.
Kritik kam vor allem von der Linkspartei, die vor „gläsernen Patient:innen“, Datenlecks und Hacks warnte.
Die #Linke wies darauf hin, dass es „ein unermessliches kommerzielles Interesse von Unternehmen an unseren Gesundheitsdaten“ gebe. Auf dem internationalen Markt koste ein „Satz von Gesundheitsdaten“ rund 250 US-Dollar.

Heute Bundestagsanhörung zur Digitalisierung von Gesundheitsdaten – aber die #EHDS-Pläne der EU drohen die Reform auszuhebeln. Die geplante Zwangs-elektronische Patientenakte #ePA dürfen wir so nicht hinnehmen. Hier droht eine Aushebelung des deutschen Widerspruchsrechts und ein Kontrollverlust über unsere Gesundheitsdaten!

Die zentrale Gesundheitsdatenbak #ePA ist und wird nicht sicher sein gegen #Hackerangriffe.
Und das Schlimmme:
Veröffentliche #Daten schaden den Menschen dauerhaft.
Solange die Daten dezental bei den Krankenhäusern und Ärzten liegen, besteht nicht die Gefahr, dass ALLE Daten veröffentlicht werden können.

Der Herr Gesundheitsminister kümmert sich liebevoll um die Gesundheit der Pharmaindustrie.
Das Gesundheitssystem IST digitalisiert, nur kommt die Pharmaindustrie NICHT (so einfach) and die Patientendaten, die dezentral bei bei den Ärzten und Krankenhäusern liegen.
Also schafft es die SPD (mal wieder), die sensibelsten Daten eines Menschen auf eine zentrale Datenbank auszulagern, obwohl die Bevölkerung bis heute kein Interesse daran hat.
Dass nebenbei Ausspähungen von Behörden oder durch Datenklau der absolute GAU entstehen würde, scheint der SPD mal wieder egal zu sein.
ALLE eure Krankengeschichten, vom Kiffen bis zur letzten Sitzung beim Psychiater über mehrere Generationen, von der Geburt bis zum Tod von dir , deinen Kindern und Enkelkindern - verknüpfbar - in einer Datenbank.

Teck is a very large Canadian mining company that dumps pollutants into the Elk River which flows into the Kootenai River which flows into Montana. This pollution impacts fish and other wildlife. And the local rodeo association takes monetary donations from Teck to put on rodeos and Bull Thing here in Eureka, MT (7 miles from Canadian border). I'm a Professional Environmental Engineer and I have done wetland delineations, Nationwide Permit determinations, and similar investigations for over 10 years.
The TL;DR: The EPA revised the rule to match the SCOTUS ruling. In doing so they really did have to gut the rule in ways that I would never have imagined a year ago.
But, despite what anyone tells you, no one knows what the revised rule means yet.
