I had sort of aspirationally bought Voyager tickets for an October show in Zurich after seeing them on #Eurovision, but got word today the tour has been postponed because Danny Estrin has been diagnosed with cancer and needs immediate treatment.
While I wasn't sure if I would go because of COVID, the gig doesn't really matter - I hope his treatment succeeds and that he is able to recover well.

French-language Belgian broadcaster RTBF has gone for another early call in selecting actor/singer Mustii. From a quick listen to his back catalogue he seems to sit in the realm of dark pop but is versatile enough to draw influences from elsewhere. Mustii's role as a judge on Drag Race Belgique suggests we're in for an artistic, well-styled performance at the contest.

It’s impossible to overstate how great the new #Voyager album is.
The fantastic thing is that their #Eurovision songs fit in to the album perfectly. What they brought to Liverpool was entirely authentic who they are. This is the key to winning a semi and finishing top ten.

Today we have an 11-hour drive from San Antonio to Santa Fe. In hopes of enjoyably putting the kids to sleep, we put on a Great Courses audiobook on the history of Jewish civilization.
5-year-old: I heard Israel! Israel came in second in Eurovision.
7-year-old: They came in third. Cha-cha-cha came in second.

Ok. What I noticed that 2 CPUs and 2 GB RAM is way too little for a well federated server. I had to scale up up to 8vcpus and 32 GB RAM to keep the queues in real time sync with the world wide viral #Eurovision event.
But if it ramps up like that without a reason maybe there's a bug?
I only just learned that Germany’s #Eurovision entrant #LordOfTheLost did a metal cover of the incredibly fun song ‘Cha Cha Cha’ originally performed by Finland’s entry Käärijä. It’s great!
And the album cover design is just delightful (a throwback to the very iconic neon green outfit the singer wore). Love it! #GraphicDesign

I can't remember who it was here that I saw posting a recommendation for Space Opera by @catvalente but whoever you were, thank you so much.
I bought it pretty much on a whim based on that post and it's terrific. It's kind of as if Douglas Adams was still around and was writing about an intergalactic version of Eurovision.
Perfect fodder for a Sunday afternoon lazing in the garden - especially as one of my neighbours seems to have decided to soundtrack themselves doing the same by playing George Michael's entire musical output.
