Fairy Tales at QAGOMA is fab! Recommend making a dash to get some of the plushies & Yayoi Kusama merch. The latter isn't a focus in the #exhibition but her work is heavily featured in the #shop. The installation of #artwork inc Piccinini, Barton, Blackman, Branagh & many more is beautifully done. There's also wonderful fashion on show & the gallery was a welcome respite from #Brisbane heat. Shame the mechanical mushroom machine was on the blitz but I'll go back before it closes in April 2024.

After a crazy week, last night we opened "A Pageant of Spectacles: Chromolithography in America" at the Osher Map Library and Smith Center for Cartographic Education, University of Southern Maine. We hung it like a 19c gallery: dense! It's spectacular, if I say so myself.

Mounting mats for the second exhibition's photographs have arrived and have now been cut, they're white with a black core and look fab with the two photographs that they're going on. I'm supposed to be upstairs designing postcards to give away at my #Exhibition but it's too darned cold so am sat on the sofa wrapped up in a heated throw watching #AdamTheWoo take the piss out of #TheTrackers on #YouTube instead.
I have very mixed feelings about the August Horch Museum in Zwickau.
The museum is certainly a fun place and curated by a team with a profound knowledge of the automobile industry.
However, I found the museum’s engagement with its history during the Third Reich very problematic, for three primary reasons.

There is a large exhibition dedicated to my artworks in a supermarket in Plérin, France, from today until 11 November. ☺️ Yay!
Many comic pages and illustration were printed in big. Their is also many activities around the exhibition: a cooking potion contest, a signing session, drawing and digital painting workshop too.

Art for today. #SFBA fam, it may seem a bit out of the way from the City's and the Town's art scenes, but I found this pair of exhibits at the St Mary's College Museum of Art in Moraga to be well worth the visit.
"Corita Kent: heroes and sheroes" is a small but mighty collection of Kent's graphic art supporting social justice in the late 60s. "Lisa Congdon: Hold it Lightly," in both its pop art color palette and its "themes of joy, liberation, and radical inclusion," is the perfect contemporary chaser.
I've long been an admirer of both women, so it was a delight to be able to see their work so close to home.
