2/ Das Erste, was vorgestellt wurde, war die Klimabilanz für #Pankow. Die Zahlen sind von vor einer Woche. Noch ganz frisch. Ich saß da so und dachte in mich hinein: Was für ein Skandal! Was haben die denn all die Jahre gemacht????
#ExtinctionRebellion hatte 2019 die Forderung, dass Deutschland 2025 klimaneutral wird. Es gab Volksentscheide. Millionen Menschen waren auf den Straßen und Pankow weiß im November 2023 erstmals Bescheid, was dann überhaupt die Datenlage ist? Really?
Wieso hat sich keiner auf die Straßen geklebt, um auf das Problem mit der Klimakrise aufmerksam zu machen? Wieso hat keiner Denkmäler besudelt, damit die Politiker*innen ihre Arbeit machen? Ach so, stümmpt. Hamse ja gemacht. Aber das Brandenburger Tor und die Weltzeituhr sind ja nicht in Pankow. Aber die ersten Blockaden waren durchaus in Pankow. Hätte man mitkriegen können. Hätte man drüber nachdenken können. Hätte man anfangen können zu arbeiten.
Klimanotstand in diversen Städten. Und die fangen jetzt an, erst mal zu gucken, wo wir stehen?
Ach was, ich will nicht meckern. Immerhin haben sie ja angefangen.
(Eine Frau hat zum Ende der Veranstaltung dann gemeckert ...)
Das Interessante an der Aufschlüsselung: Private Haushalte sind Hauptverursacher! Pankow hat keine Industrie, keine #Autobahn, aber 400.000 Einwohner*innen in ungedämmten Wohnungen.
Also: Sanierung + erneuerbare Energie.
PS: Wäre doch unheimlich schlau, wenn das mit der Autobahn so bleiben würde, oder? #justSaying #A100 #a100stoppen

I will also point out that I am #disabled #workingPoor who already contributes embarrassingly small donations to #greenPeace, #NDP, #ConservationCouncil, #ExtinctionRebellion, #signalApp, and at least a half-dozen #independantJournalists. I gave up my vehicles. I reduce, reuse and recycle. I turn the heat down and the lights off, I spend every shred of my modicum of energy keeping informed and helping my friends, family and co-workers.
We need more from #canada, not me.

Ich habe Saskia Meyer später gefragt, warum sie denn dazu eine Clownsnase aufgesetzt hat. Sie erzählte mir vom Gespräch: Trees hatte von den Blockaden in Den Haag berichtet und dass sie an 25 der 27 Blockaden teilgenommen hat und dabei ihre Hüfte beschädigt wurde. Sie konnte deshalb auch nicht sitzen und lag die ganze Zeit auf der Straße. Mit dem Kopf auf ihren Krücken. Geklebt.
Während sie Saskia Meyer das erzählt hat, mussten beide weinen. Damit alle wieder lachen konnten, hat SM die Clownsnase aufgesetzt.

"#SimonLachner had plans to glue himself to a German city thoroughfare in June to call public attention to #ClimateChange. Instead, he ended up in police custody before he'd even left his home.
"Lachner, 28, is one of thousands of #activists caught up in a European crackdown on direct action protests which gathered pace last year. #Protesters are demanding urgent government action against climate change.
"#Roadblocks on major motorways in #Britain have caused traffic chaos, protests at #oil installations in #Germany have disrupted supplies, and in #France, thousands of activists and police clashed over #water usage, leaving dozens injured.
"Determined to prevent such protests from strengthening further, states in Germany and national authorities in France are invoking legal powers often used against organised crime and extremist groups to wiretap and track activists, Reuters found, based on conversations with four prosecutors, #police in both countries and more than a dozen protesters.
"In #Berlin alone, police have spent hundreds of thousands of hours working on more than 4,500 incidents registered against the 'The #LastGeneration' and '#ExtinctionRebellion' groups, according to previously unreported data from police.
"State authorities in Germany are widely using preventative #detention to stop people from protesting, including holding at least one person for as long as 30 days without charge.

I find it difficult and a bit frustrating that many #activist groups - for example #JustStopOil, #SistersUncut and quite a lot of the regional groups for #ExtinctionRebellion - don't have accounts on #Mastodon. I understand they have limited resources, so they focus on social networks like #Instagram, where they have a massive reach, however the risk of corporate owned social media is that their voices could be censored.
An acquittal, but:
"The Treasury claimed the cost of the damage was nearly £20,000 and the defendants faced up to ten years in jail each if they had been found guilty."
A bit much for spraying fake blood (washable dye) over the Treasury building.

Eine LG-Sprecherin hatte gesagt, dass LG sich in der nächsten Phase an #ExtinctionRebellion orientieren will, die in den Niederlanden erfolgreich waren und die Abschaffung fossiler Subventionen erkämpft haben. Dazu sollen die Aktionen mehr Party-Charakter bekommen mit Musik und Gesängen und Sprüchen. Hier rufen die Aktivist*innen: „Tell me what democracy looks like! This is what democracy looks like!“, was einigermaßen makaber wirkt, weil dem eine brutale Räumung des Rosenthaler Platzes vorausgegangen ist.

Es muss das mildeste Mittel eingesetzt werden. Das wäre Wegtragen. Wie man auf allen Bildern sehen kann, wehren sich die Aktivist*innen nicht. Sie sind renitent und gehen wieder auf die Straße, bis die Personalien aufgenommen werden und sie eine Anzeige bekommen, aber sie wehren sich nicht gegen das Wegtragen. Manche sind kooperativ und machen ein Päckchen zum Wegtragen, manche sind wie nasse Säcke. Aber nasse Säcke kann man wegschleifen, man muss ihnen dazu nicht wehtun. Den Mann bei 12 hätten sie auch ohne Handbeugehebel von der Straße zeihen können.
Wie im Artikel dargestellt, ist auch die Androhung von Gewalt nicht rechtens, wenn die Gewalt nicht angemessen wäre. Das habe ich aber auch schon öfter erlebt. Manche Aktivist*innen laufen dann doch lieber.
Über die Anweisung „Bis zur Schmerzgrenze!“ habe ich auf der Rückfahrt nachgedacht. Die Schmerzgrenze ist individuell unterschiedlich. Ihr könnt mal probieren, wie weit Ihr Euer Handgelenk beugen könnt. Bei mir geht es nicht mal bis 90°. Bei Frauen ist es wohl ein bisschen mehr. Ich habe auf Bildern viel weitere Beugungen gesehen. Die Schmerzgrenze wird man wohl nur ermitteln können, indem man sie überschreitet. Vorher tut es halt nicht weh.
Wenn ich es richtig verstehe, dann sind diese Hebel Transport- und Kontrolltechniken, so wie sie auch offiziell heißen. Das heißt, man setzt den Hebel an und wenn der Aktivist zappelt, tut es weh. Hier wurde aber der Schmerz vorsätzlich zugefügt.
In der LTO steht, dass die LG klagen könnte. Hab erst jetzt gesehen, dass sie sich auch schon bei der zuständigen Polizeistelle beschwert haben.
Interessanterweise hat in den Niederlanden #ExtinctionRebellion gegen den Einsatz von Wasserwerfern geklagt und Recht bekommen.
