There is a third community with researchers around ontology alignment (OAEI).

The next time I hear someone say we should all publish our data according to the #FAIR and #CARE principles, I’m going to scream. In my reading, the CARE principles are supposed to be a provocation that _challenges_ our data publishing practices, created within and for a very specific context (indigenous data), and not just yet another box to tick.

Excited to see work done on actual structured data implementation (i.e. on level of ontology, not just labeling) from Romy Köhler ('Collections from Colonial Contexts'-Portal in DDB), and to learn more about the Proveana project from Deutsches Zentrum Kulturgutverluste. NFDI and TIB publications were cited in relation to #FAIR and #CARE data principles 😎 and we discussed further ways to collaborate ✨ esp. in relation to #LOD and structured authority data.

Oh yeah, I also went to a fair with a demolition derby last weekend. It was pretty fun. The drivers looked like they were having a blast, but I bet you need an incredible helmet to not hurt yourself.
The best part is watching a car that is barely functional, with 2 wheels, crunched into half its normal size, nearly on fire, and still looking for more. I got the impression they intentionally ram with the back of their vehicle to keep their engine alive.

Researchers often need to cite #SearchEngine results. Unfortunately, search engines change their algorithms and their index all the time. Alessandro Lotta and Gianmaria Silvello presented a #prototype that captures this ranking in a human- and machine-readable #format and posts it to #Zenodo for citing with a #DOI.

@jon I suspected so, but EU already had an effect in tech. Since social media is now so relevant in politics, politics should be serious about social media compatility with the politics of choice.

I work in #academia in several European projects, and recently interoperable and open (#FAIR) practices have been gaining traction, so at least there is a pool of experts who can support and develop this common good.
