"A Harvard University study analyzed data from over 4 million tests of attitudes between 2007 and 2016. The analysis found that while biases towards sexual orientation, race and skin tone decreased in that period, weight bias (pro-thin/anti-fat) increased by 40%, particularly in the early years of the study.

I mentioned to Greg this morning that I'd lost almost 5kg in the 3 weeks that I've been in the UK with him, and his response was "oh my god, baby! Are you OK? We can feed you more food!"
I hadn't been mentioning it for any specific reason, other than to remark on it. But it was fucking NICE to not have him respond with congratulations, and for him to move straight into recognising that weight lose isn't automatically a good thing and often is indicative of health issues. That's not something fat people are often met with.
Also, 5kg in 3 weeks isn't a big change for me. My weight yo-yos any time I'm going through change.. and it's not surprising me that I've lost that much with all the sex and kink play I've been having.
Ideally, I'd like to drop a little bit more and get to 100kg, because my body feels it's strongest and fittest then. And I like when my body feels strong and fit.

Since I've had Covid 3 times, my health has never returned to its 2019 levels.
Then, I was doing two lots of one hour walks a day, often getting to 13K steps.
Now, if I try more than 10 minutes walking, I'm wiped out for three or four days after. I have huge pain and breathlessness just on the stairs.
But no-one believes me because I'm fat. I'm obviously just lazy and lying. I'm limiting my own life because... #FAT!

I found my way to Mastodon about a week or so ago via a more SFW account so I'm relatively familiar working my way around here but I needed an outlet for my kinky side... and here I am!
I'm a tall, fat, indigenous + queer cis woman. A feminist, a leftist, neurodivergent + a spoonie. I hail from Australia and my pronouns are she/her.
I consider my roles to be fluctuating as I've been growing as a person. I'm a kinkster, an exhibitionist and an ageplayer. I've historically referred to myself as a submissive but have been reviewing that title in recent times for a few reasons.
I've been interested in kink and alternative sex for all of my adult life (and then some!) and yet I'm still searching for community.

I'm Jess Walton. I'm a #fat, white, #queer, #nonbinary / #agender, #disabled #writer & parent living on #BoonWurrung land.
I would love to find other writers here, and queer, fat & disabled community.
My most recent book is a graphic novel called #StarsInTheirEyes (Published in Aus by Fremantle Press in 2021, coming out in the US with Scholastic in 2023).
My picture book #IntroducingTeddy was published by Bloomsbury in 2016.
I've also started branching out into TV writing (I cowrote the disability episode of #GetKrackin season 2) and #poetry.
I'm a #FormStorm (my new #BorgDiem word for #amputee) with #ChronicPain, #ADHD & #anxiety. When I'm not writing I'm usually trying to decompress/distract myself with reading, TV & film.
I read #PictureBooks, MG & YA, & #GraphicNovels for any age group! I also read #DisabilityTheory, nonfiction & poetry.
