Then there is the ‘For you’ tab in Search that shows #suggested profiles to #follow.

This would be a very useful tool if it worked. However, unless you follow them all, it keeps showing the same profiles, presumably forever. At least that’s my experience. I did it once shortly after I had joined Mastodon, the suggested profiles refreshed .... and have since remain unchanged.

Maybe some more seasoned #Mastodonians know if this is a #bug or a #feature.

I love the #UX, but can't say that's the same for #everyone. I #understand it depends on people's #taste. But as like ur #app works, make it #customisable so that people will #choose the #feature or the #experience they #wish. That way many will be #benefitted.

I understand that not #everything can be made customisable (as it may take a long time), but still doing it at some point will help.

Btw, I love #fedilab, for the #customisation it has already🔥🔥

You know what might be a cool #feature for #Mastodon or another Fedi thing? Integration with the API for sites like #Subscribestar, so artists can keep auto generated lists of users who are subscribed to them and make special posts here, or at least set something up to automatically post every time they post to their subscription services.

After updating my Apple Watch to watchOS 10, the “Your Schedule” complication does not show the event title anymore when added to the bottom of certain watch faces.

Is this just a bug or did Apple downgrade that feature?

@GossiTheDog Please tell me if I got something wrong, but in the latest blog article https://msrc.microsoft.com/blog/2023/09/results-of-major-technical-investigations-for-storm-0558-key-acquisition/ there is a #psychological aspect that catches my attention. Though #Microsoft admit that they didn't update the #API library according to their #documentation they introduce this by "To meet growing customer demand to support applications which work with both consumer and enterprise applications [...]".

In my opinion this make #customers believe that requesting a #feature like that leads to #security #threats and it's probably best to have Microsoft fully #control their products and just eat out of the palm of their hand while this situation rather shows that they are not in full control of their systems for other reasons. The responsibility of this incident is not fully undertaking by them. It's kinda your own fault.

Something I thought would be a great ‘next decade’ #feature for #Apple #Watch X.

#Discord added a new #feature called "clips", which records short snippets of a #stream that the streamer in question can save and share.

The problem
- It captures both stream and #call #audio, so anyone in the call will have their #voice #recorded
- It's enabled by #default "if [the streamer's] system has high end hardware"
- There is no way for users to #optout of being recorded, nor are there any settings for #server #admins to turn them off (per-channel or per-server)

This looks like a #privacy nightmare

Here's an feature for Apple I'd like to propose.. An option to include your own shared links in the "Shared with You" sections of all Apple apps that support "Shared with You”. It could then be name “Shared" section and give the user an option to include their own shares. #apple #feature #idea

One #feature I would love for @Mastodon would be being able to follow someone else's post and see the responses without some bookmarking, repeatedly checking workaround.

It's kind of weird to be reading about some of the reasons why people on Bluesky left Mastodon and recognizing them as things I actually like about being here. I guess that's why I am not using my Bluesky account at all...

Bei #Mastodon fehlt mir das ein wenig, und manchmal fühlt es sich an, als ob niemand einen Beitrag bemerkt hat, wenn keine Interaktion stattfindet. Das kann sicherlich die Motivation bei den ein oder anderen hier auf Mastodon beeinträchtigen.

I’ve created a list, added an account to the list and then unfollowed the account.

Expected behaviour: account remains in the list and doesn’t appear in home timeline. Account’s toots can be seen when viewing the list

Actual behaviour: account disappears from both the list and home timeline - you have ‘lost’ the account you were trying to list.
