Extreme Value Adding - Patterned Sheep by Joan Stratton - Four black and white patterned sheep with black faces and legs, roam the paddocks of dried summer grasses while a cheeky Australian Willie Wagtail bird is perched on the barbed wire fence. Value adding to farming produce can be a tricky business but this farmer has bred wonderfully patterned sheep.

Hand-drawn painting / graphic illustration from scratch based on my sister's sheep which are a mixed breed of Suffolk and Merino plus the mischievous Australian Willie Wagtail which is the largest of the Australian fantails. Indigenous mythology is that the Willie Wagtail loiters just at the edge of the camp, close enough to listen in on secret conversations, that they later spread about just like their wings.

I'm sharing this photo I took of two black bears playing for #SilentSunday because that's what I was when I came across them while hiking...I kept perfectly silent and still as they wrestled like I wasn't even there. The image is quite minimalist, showing some dried plant stems in a dark red glass vase against a slightly textured sepia-coloured background.

The stems are silhouetted dark against the background - on the left there are two dried poppy seed pods, and on the right there is a large round dried allium seed head. The vase has a rounded base, narrowing to a short slim neck - it is a deep red colour but slightly translucent, so the base of the stems can be seen through the glass.

The edges of the emulsion lift are slightly uneven and ragged, and there are small pieces of Polaroid chemistry in places that give it a texture that almost resembles an old plastered wall. There is a single crease in the emulsion on the left hand side, about a third of the way up.

I have noted the rapid growth of AI Artwork and I recognise some of the great work that is being produced.
However, I wish to assure all my Friends, Followers and Purchasers of my Photographic Artwork that I am staying devoted purely to work produced through my cameras and some limited Digital enhancements.
