How do i view my posts that are not boosts? I boost a lot of stuff so it is difficult to find posts from me.
I've found Mastodon to (mostly) have a good culture. Lots of conversations on here. Lots of people with a wide variety of interests and expertise to kind of peak intuitive their world. There's a code of ethics and the use of blocking and server defederation that tries to ensure safety and friendliness. Not perfect, but it's the best online community I've been in for many, many years.

My instance, mstdn.social, is still wonky. I haven't been able to access it since last Saturday night and the whole of Sunday. Logging in via WiFi or mobile data has consistently failed. Am actually surprised to be able to gain access now (via WiFi; mobile data is still nada). I often get an error related to privacy or that the server takes too long to respond. Am I the only one experiencing this? 😭

I am confused how to structure a Sentry server. If my company provides two independent platforms, do I:
a) use two "Organizations" in one Sentry server?
b) use one "Organization" with two "projects" in one server?
c) use two Sentry servers?
Projects in one organization do not seem to be independent/separated at all, a project seems more like a component of one app that is connected with other components…
I badly need funds at the moment because my payment deadline is already closing in...

Bin auf der Suche nach "extra firm" #Tofu, wie man ihn dort bekommt, wo tatsächlich Menschen in größerer Zahl wohnen, die den Unterschied zwischen "firm" und "extra firm" kulinarisch bedeutsam finden. Ich habe den z.B. in Kanada schon im Supermarkt gesehen, auch in bio-Qualität, aber hier bin ich etwas aufgeschmissen.

Fedifriends, is there a way to view *only* my friend's insta posts and block/circumvent the rest of the BS in the home feed/time line? I am done with the 'recommended' accounts and, obvs, the ads.
Someone round these parts must know of a tool/workaround that pulls *just* the posts into a dedicated 3rd party feed... or something. Kinda like Beeper for the posts (not just the DMs).

Das ist insofern fatal, wenn man, um die auf Screenreader angewiesene Community einzuschließen, Bilder sehr genau beschreibt und damit unabsichtlich geholfen hat, den Promptgenerator noch besser zu trainieren.
Es gibt keinen "Opt out", keine Möglichkeit das Nutzen der Fotos und Texte zu verhindern, oder?

1. What are the hosting costs of PeerTube instances?
2. How do these instances deal with financing themselves?
3. As I understand it, if a Fediverse user views content from a different instance, then this content will be downloaded to their own instance. Is this understanding correct?
4. If so, is this also true for PeerTube videos - which means that, say, a Mastodon user following a PeerTube account will cause a lot of additional load (and thus hosting costs) for their home instance?
#CSS question. On my site's check-out page, the Elementor WooCommerce widget defaults to several different text styles and sizes. I think it looks ugly.
I can see in the inspector the code that controls this and confirm by making the adjustments I want there. But when I try to add custom CSS on the page itself, it doesn't work to change the font size. I can confirm that the syntax is (mostly?) right by adding "color: blue;" and watching it immediately change. But I can't get the font size to change
Elementor has an "AI" code feature that gave me this (below), but it still doesn't change the font size. I can see in the inspector that this particular text is h2, but the other text box seems to be in regular text. Any suggestions?

Just saw this on a post that got a lot of discussion going, and now I'm curious. On both the Mastodon web interface and Fedilab, if I click reply on a post that is itself a reply, both usernames are automatically inserted in my post.
That makes some sense given that often threads turn into a discussion between the author and multiple people, but I can totally see how it would be super annoying to get notifications for every single reply on a post even when those replies are directed at someone else. Is there a configuration option or another way of approaching this in the Fediverse that alleviates this?

I am still in need of a computer (I can buy one here for around 100 €, maybe less) for a family of six of my pupils, who are struggling in their studies in what is for them a foreign language but are highly motivated....
I only have ten more days here, so it's quite urgent as I would need to buy the computer, install it with #Primtux, and meet the family so as to ensure that the kids will share the computer harmoniously,.

Is anyone else using Wordpress to host and share music? I'm asking specifically about Wordpress.com hosted sites and not self-hosted.
I can see it is pretty simple to upload individual files and have those playable on pages. But, I'm looking at how I can implement a player of sorts to have a collection of tracks that play together.
This would be for if I released a full record and want folks to be able to listen to it from start to finish without having to play each track individually.
I can see there are plugins for this kind of functionality, but the plan for Wordpress.com that allows plugins is a little more than I want to spend on hosting.
Should I just use the self-hosted version of Wordpress? Or maybe just make a Faircamp site at this point?
