What is it with companies and utilities thinking it's OK to charge people a fee when they pay their bill? If I pay electronically from my checking account to my gas company they charge a $2.95 "convenience" fee. But there is no fee to send them a check by mail.

We need to stand up to this Bullshit from companies. Not accepting their fees and other service charges is essential to not getting nickel and dimed all the time now.

Had to pay the Royal Mail £3.90, the minimum charge, for underpayment of postage. I suspect it was posted the day after the recent price increase. I doubt the person who sent it will pay me back.

Charity donation platforms seem to have slowly increased fees, now up to 15%.
I realise there's a cost to running a platform but a lot of the time they're just processing cards or paypal after a redirect from a charity or fundraising campaign. Essentially they're a payment portal with a login.

It's a fixed fee with some, and others it's adjustable, but a lot of people may not notice that.
